The World Won't End For 1,000 Years, If Ever
Sorry to end your fun Fox News/NatGeo/Express/Newsweek/USA Today/MSM, but we do not believe the world will end on Saturday nor do we think the world will end in 2017. As a matter of fact, words have been so taken out of context that it's difficult for readers just now hearing about 9/23/17 to distinguish between what Christians are actually saying and what is just media sensation.
To clarify:
1. This Saturday, September 23rd, an astronomical alignment will form that literally matches the description given in Revelation 12:1-2. I've even seen agnostics admit as much. There's no doubt the alignment matches the description - it just does. The question is: do you believe this is purely coincidence or is God's Word true? It's a sign from God because He gave it to us in His Word. That much anyone can see for themselves by downloading a free astronomy program and punching in the date and coordinates. Virgo is the only constellation that represents a woman on the ecliptic. The sun and moon are exactly where the prophecy says they would be. The nine stars of Leo in addition to Mercury, Mars, and Venus form an incredible and perfectly aligned crown of 12 stars (the Bible doesn't distinguish between planets and stars). The icing on the cake is the fact that the King Planet Jupiter resides in Virgo's womb for 9 months before being "born" - an extremely unusual occurrence that defies those who say this alignment isn't unique (it is).
2. I can't speak for everyone, but as for me and those I fellowship with and all the Christian scholars I follow, none of us teach or believe that the world will end this year. Far from it. Revelation 20:1-10 tells us that before God creates "a new heaven and a new earth" (thus the end of the current world and the creation of a new one) Christ will return to earth and establish a Kingdom that lasts for 1,000 years. Therefore the end of the world can never be closer than 1,000 + 7 years from now (the extra seven years being the length of the coming Tribulation). But wait! Ecclesiastes 1:4 says that the earth will last forever. For that reason, some Christian scholars believe "a new heaven and a new earth" is a rejuvenation of the current creation. Either way, the world doesn't end for 1,000 years, if ever.
3. What are we actually saying will happen this Saturday and what's the significance? A sign prophesied in the Bible is going to occur. This is verifiable with any astronomy program and even with the naked eye. Observers in the Middle East will be able to see the first half of the sign before the sun rises on 9/23 and the second half after the sun sets.
The significance? We can only speculate because we can't see the result yet. We are hoping and longing for the rapture of Christ's Church because we want to be with Our Lord who saved us, but we don't know when exactly that will occur - perhaps days from now or perhaps next year - we don't know. All we're saying is that when you begin to see major prophecies pertaining to Jesus' second coming from the Bible fulfilled, which is the only true and verifiable book of divine revelation, then you should probably pay attention. This isn't gobbly-gook from Nostradamus. This is the Bible. If the world hasn't dramatically changed by next week, we will still be saying the same thing: the sign is still the sign and you need to pay attention.
When it comes to signs, the Revelation 12 Sign is just the icing on the cake. I've previously given 20 reasons why we are nearing the time of the rapture and subsequent second coming of Christ and also 10 reasons why Jesus will return in our lifetime. Jesus' Parable of the Fig Tree also points to our time, as well. For your own sake, don't ignore this, but study it yourself to see if what we're saying is true and then get on board the ark before it's too late.

If that doesn't turn some media heads then I don't know what will. Brilliant article Gary!!

ReplyDeleteGreat article Gary, I've been following along for some time. I find it interesting that no one seems to be mentioning Saturn in this alignment. Saturn has been following Virgo around in the sky, appearing like it's waiting on the child to be born. Saturn is also in retrograde currently and has been correlated in ancient times, with Satan. Maybe nothing, but interesting.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why that's saying unknown... My name is Zach.
ReplyDeleteNow it shows up...

ReplyDeleteCould 9/23 be a 7-day warning/countdown? A Yom Kippur rapture would be 40 days since the eclipse, making it consistent with "40 days of repentance". And, it would be more consistent with the "thief in the night" concept, since 9/23 has been somewhat revealed in the media and even by out warnings. Just thinking out loud.
our* warnings
DeleteAccording to Steve @ Heavenly sign 2017 youtube channel, that would mess up the timeline for the tribulation period.
Delete@Isaiah: Steves timeline corresponds well with the explanation of Pete Thompson Hagan's video "Rapture Date Revealed In Daniels Sealed Prophecy" (09/2017) although for slightly different reasons. As Lev23:24 names FoT to be a ONE day holiday only there is a high chance to meet in the throne room this evening at Jerusalem sunset (i.e. at app. 5 pm in Germany, 6 hours from now...)! MARANATHA :)
DeleteAnd now Drudge has put some guy who looks like he spent all of five minutes creating a theory on the front page...
ReplyDeleteSHAKING MY HEAD.
You couldn't misunderstand this more IF you TRIED. With a search on Google or Bing, and about five minutes of research, you could find someone more informed to interview, and a better article to feature.
This is a classic Straw Man fallacy attack. It's one thing to take flack on the merits of an argument, it's another when you have to defend a position that isn't yours to begin with.
Lord help us all.
Gary,
ReplyDeleteGreat article as always. Just let me suggest that you add this one in the top section of your website. I hate to pollute the top section of the site with rebuttals like this but if you don't people may not find it. Only those who are dedicated to the reading and studying will look for things that are not in the top of the page.
I'll second that. Especially if someone is checking the site out on mobile, new posts are easily hidden. Definitely needs to be put up in the "Featured" section at minimum, but preferably should be right underneath "Get on Board The Ark".
Deleteall new posts should always be at the top - a lot easier to see what's new.

Great job Gary. What troubles me is they pick out this David Meade fellow and lump him with Unsealed and the rest of the Christian community that is teaching about the sign and NOT Niburu. I don't believe Meade is associated with Unsealed, Scott Clarke or the other watchmen. It's almost as if the enemy is obfuscating the truth with these other theories.
ReplyDeleteThe Lamb is Victorious!
ReplyDeleteAnd the Lamb Returns as the Lion Amen?
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, Gary! I have seen SO many posts on this subject that have completely misunderstood what we who are watchful have been saying about this. There is this general "no one knows the day or the hour, and therefore let us not even begin to try to understand signs and wonders in the Heavens, lest we lead others astray" argument that completely disregards the important calling to STUDY God's Word, pray for wisdom and discernment, learn and grow, and apply the Word to what we are seeing in our lives each day. Anyone who does this can clearly see that the alignment on Saturday, 9/23 may very well be Biblically significant! And with all of these hurricanes, earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, and not to mention this year's International Day of Peace (TOMORROW, 9/21) with a theme of "Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All" (see 1 Thessalonians 5:3 - For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape), I truly believe that we are in for MAJOR change. I pray that the Rapture of the Church comes soon, but if not, that does not in any way discredit the significance of the Rev 12 sign, nor does it mean that we are not on the brink of global change. May we unite together as Christ's Body and pray for our world, our nations, our communities and families, seek repentance and may the Lord have mercy on us all! Good and faithful Lord, we await our soon coming birth! May You gather Your people soon, Lord Jesus! Isaiah 26:20 - Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Melanie. Amen!
Delete"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Take to heart these instructions with which I charge you this day. Impress them upon your children. Recite them when you stay at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them serve as a symbol on your foreheads; inscribe them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 TNK)
I can't wait for the 24th when all the rubbish and all the hysterical, lunatic theories begin to subside. Then perhaps the rest of us can continue working in peace. Of course we may have to go underground, but still... =8o

P.S. Again, what in the world is up with the "Comment as:" thing?
The signs are all around us. The Eclipse, wild fires, Harvey, Irma, Maria, two earth quakes in Mexico and now a 6.1 in Japan. plus other crazy stuff happening around the world. Birth pains maybe? What ever happens, remember God has a plan.
ReplyDeleteOn 25th September Kurdistan will take its first breath. For many Moslems it will be a red rag to a bull as incorporation of a Kurdish state is considered the harbinger of their apocalypse.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry but I'm not sure exactly what you are saying? Can you elaborate?
DeleteI believe he is referring to the Kurdish people in Iraq? I didn't know they were about to declare and incorporate as a state though, nor did I know they had a prophecy about them being a harbinger. So many things happening, it's not surprising.
DeleteI noticed the foolish and pathetic articles on the Fox News website and others, Gary why don't you just mail this article to the MSM anyway. It is a witness against them exposing their folly even it they never publish any of this - clock is ticking, have faith and wait for Him...
ReplyDelete"But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly." (2 Peter 3:7 ESV)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Endings (Part One)
This passage of scripture recorded by the Apostle Peter illustrates to us one ending. The end to come of the ungodly. The world that we know today is stored up for judgement and will be judged by Christ at His second coming.
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed." (2 Peter 3:10 ESV)
Peter gives us the order in which we will see the end of the earth. The Day of the Lord shall first come when the ungodly shall be judged. The heavenly bodies (inner planets of our solar system) will be destroyed and earth's protective magnetic shield will falter exposing it to the direct energy of the sun. (We are not given the times of these things, only the timing and their function).
"Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God," (2 Peter 3:11-12a ESV)
The earth and everything in it will pass away in their time. Dissolved. Meaning burned and melted in the intense heat of the sun. Even so, we are made to life eternal and called to live lives accordingly today. The earth and all the heavens will pass away, but we will live eternally without end. How will we respond to that truth? How will we answer eternity? How long until we humble ourselves before the awesome and mighty power that is the LORD G-D Almighty who created the heavens and earth?
These things were made to pass away. You were not.
Speaking of Endings (Part Two)
ReplyDelete"because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!" (2 Peter 3:12b ESV)
The end will come with the complete destruction of the inner solar system by the sun. They will be melted and destroyed as the sun ages and runs out of fuel. The changing temperatures in the sun will cause it to swell, causing the planets to burn before they are entirely engulfed by the nuclear furnace that is our sun.
"But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells." (2 Peter 3:13 ESV)
In the beginning G-D created the heavens and the earth. He sealed that creation with a promise, a promise named Jesus. His Holy Word is His promise. His Holy Word is Christ. His promise is life eternal in the presence of G-D. Just as it was in the beginning with Adam, so shall it be in the end. We shall live forever in the presence of the holiness that is G-D Himself in new heavens and new earth in which He dwells. We shall be His people. He shall be our God.
Of these new heavens and new earth, it shall be without end for they are to be the dwelling place of G-D and man. The righteousness of man is G-D in Christ. In holiness, His righteousness endures forever, thus the dwelling place of G-D with man shall endure forever.
These are the things we can learn by studying G-D's creation. These are the things we can learn by studying G-D's Word. The personal revelation of Jesus Christ is an awesome and mighty thing! Knowing Him above all is our all-in-all. In Him is the fullness of life eternal for which we will watch in amazement as the heavens pass away and all creation go the way that it will.
Let him who have an ear, hear. Let him who have a heart, humble themselves before the LORD. His mercy endures forever. His Love will never fail if only we lay bear our pride and allow it to be dissolved in the consuming fire that is the Love of Christ.
This is my hope for you, the fledgling Church yet to be born. This is our prayer for you, to overcome the trials of the Tribulation that has come and is yet to come. Set your heart on Christ and don't look back.
In the end, all of these things we see will pass away. But His Kingdom will endure forever in the new creation we know as the new heavens and the new earth.
Glory to G-D in the highest.
Grace and peace to you all,
Pastor Rich
Just a thought.... could the rapture happen at the next feast of trumpets? The last trumpet to sound, the last jubilee for 50 years? It's been roaming around in my head for the past few days.
ReplyDeleteHi Jordan,
DeleteBe Berean. Get out your Bible, get praying and dig, dig, dig. Study the scriptures and the feasts. Embrace your Hebrew roots. That is a winning idea no matter what. But could the rapture happen at the next FoT? Yes. It could also happen in the next 15-seconds.
I believe everything points to the sign this Saturday. The fact that the sign falls on the Jewish Sabbath of Her Return is one detail that catches my attention. We are among those who feel this may be it; but in the same breath I may not finish writing this for being taken.
As for Jubilee Years, this year or next do not appear to be Jubilee Years. We just had a Sabbath Year so we're not yet through the current seven-year cycle. According to Chabad.org, the next Sabbath Year is 5782 on the Jewish calendar (Sept. 7, 2021–Sept. 26, 2022).
The exact timing of the Jubilee Years has been lost in time as it is no longer commemorated. If it wasn't ended by the destruction of the First Temple; it certainly was with the destruction of the Second Temple. Signs and wonders in the heavens like the Revelation 12 sign are not lost in time. They are unique and fixed by G-D Himself. They will be moved by no one save G-D and (IMHO) are a far better way to look for G-D's prophetic timing. After all, that's what the Magi did isn't it? (And without Bibles on portable devices and programs like Stellarium!)
As I tell everyone, grab your Bible and get on your knees to seek the answers for yourself. Ask our heavenly Father to bless you with wisdom and understanding. Ask Him to open the Scriptures up to you and light-up your life from the inside out.
Grace and peace to you,
PR
Hey I was reading about Rosh Hashanah and it said they blow the shofar 100 times. It then said it is customary to sound a long blast as the concluding sound of the shofar in order to confuse Satan. When Satan hears that the shofar is sounded more times than the Torah requires Satan becomes confused and is apprehensive that the additional sounds might be that of the shofar of “Mashiach”. Sounds like Satan believes “Mashiach” comes on Rosh Hashanah too.
ReplyDeleteThis article said it “is customary to sound a long blast as the concluding sound of the shofar in order to confuse Satan and prevent him from accusing Israel of lacking fear of Divine judgment because they eat a festive meal after the services. When Satan hears that the shofar is sounded more times than the Torah requires, he becomes confused and is apprehensive that the additional sounds might be that of the shofar of Mashiach.
But is it possible that Satan, the fearless accuser of Israel who is capable of setting clever traps for mankind, is so foolish that he is frightened of a sound that even a child knows is not the sound of the shofar of Mashiach?
We learn that when the people of Israel hear the shofar sounded on Rosh Hashanah, they are brought to a level wherein they are indeed capable of bringing about the final redemption. When they sound the shofar in fulfillment of the precepts of the day, their closed hearts are opened, they regret their sins, and their thoughts turn to repentance. Satan knows the power of the sounds of the shofar. Though they might originate from man's lips, they can well culminate with the coming of Mashiach ben David.”Chabad.org
And why is the sound of the shofar so powerful. The first use of the trumpet in the Bible comes in, I think Exodus 19:16, when Moses brings the people to the mountain to meet God, and his voice as a trumpet caused them to tremble. So I think the trumpet reminds Satan of God’s voice. I’m gonna get my grandkids some trumpets and turn them loose in the yard
Regardless, you should definitely do that with the grandkids
DeleteAny thoughts on this presentation debunking the Revelation 12 sign: https://answersingenesis.org/astronomy/stars/what-will-happen-september-23-2017/
ReplyDeleteOne major focus is his assertion that Leo itself has more than 9 stars. Another is that each aspect of the supposed alignment has already been observed to occur, and with some frequency, in a predictive pattern.
Thanks
Hi Emmy, we've addressed this article before:
DeleteHere, under "Leo Doesn't Have 9 Stars": http://www.unsealed.org/2017/09/the-big-picture-questions-answered.html
And here under "Rebuttals to arguments against the Revelation 12 Sign": http://www.unsealed.org/p/the-sign.html
Hey Gary,
ReplyDeleteSo we know that people have seen the new moon for this year, but historically, isn't the testimony of two eyewitnesses seeing the new moon supposed to be evaluated by the Great Sanhedrin (according to the Temple Institute in Israel)? Basically, that the Jewish priests were to question the witnesses to determine if their character and words were trustworthy before announcing the start of the festival and blowing the trumpets?
http://www.templeinstitute.org/rosh_hashana/sanctifying.htm
Therefore, I'm wondering if this lack of Sanhedrin verification means that the feast wouldn't start until the 22nd, similar to what would have happened historically if no moon had been seen on the 29th day of Elul. I guess were just assuming that if things had been practiced historically, two people would have gone before the Sanhedrin this year after the sighting on the 21st, but since no one did go before the new Sanhedrin (based on what I've read), does that have any baring on the start of the festival. Any thoughts?
Gary,
ReplyDeleteYou have probably addressed this somewhere on your website already. Hopefully you can point me to it.
My question is: Is there any indication in the astronomical sign of the woman being in labor or "travailing"?
No none. at all. The heavenly sign represents the start of earthly trevail.
DeleteAnd on the night of the 'great' and wonderous sign, volcano agung in Bali stands ready to erupt. Agung means 'the great'.
