The Great Deception
I'm not really sure if there will be a pre-trib, mid-trib, or pre-wrath rapture, but nevertheless there will be one. God warns us clearly. Believers who have died will rise first and living believers will follow immediately behind--we will meet Jesus in the air. People will disappear right off the face of the earth.
With Christians gone, either the antichrist will finally consolidate his power (a pre-trib rapture), or, alternatively, the ungodly will remain unrepentant and God's wrath can be poured out on them with the Christians out of harm's way. The question is... how does the world not see the rapture for what it is? You would think it would be just about the most obvious example of God's miraculous power in all of human history. But perhaps the "strong delusion" that falls upon the unrepentant is, well, quite frankly, a satanic lie perpetuated by the antichrist, government authorities, and the media, which proclaims the mass disappearances to be the product of a mass alien abduction.
It really wouldn't come as too big a surprise to a culture that has literally been inundated with aliens, alien abductions, and ufo sightings since the 1940s and 50s.
Well, after Flash Gordon, War of the Worlds, Roswell, Star Trek, Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Aliens, Independence Day, and everything else... a new movie coming out this November might just be the most blatant propaganda ever propagated concerning aliens and the rapture. If you haven't already heard of this movie, this will probably come as somewhat of a shock:
On the homepage of the movie above, those thousands of things getting sucked up into the sky are people.
Make sure to check out the two trailers on the above link--it will send chills down your spine.
Apparently the subtitle of the movie is "Don't look up". Kind of ironic, considering Jesus' command to watch was ended with saying "when you see these things begin to happen, LOOK UP, for your redemption draws near."
