Some thanks the Israelites got from Lot's descendants who were spared

--- seems to me God was exceptionally patient with Lot's descendants.
--- perhaps 600 years had passed since Lot fathered these children, before the Israelites came back and encountered their cousins.
--- another 500 years passed before the attack from 2 Chronicles 20.
--- notice 2 Chronicles 20:25.

This brings me to my point.  The Arab spring, the resulting instability and the open door for the rise of fundamental Islam has been widespread, but not in Jordan or Saudi.

As we just read Jordan is becoming increasingly weakened and more unstable.  Which may be a harbinger of this well read prophecy:

Psalm 83 (NASB)

God Implored to Confound His Enemies.

A Song, a Psalm of Asaph.

O God, do not remain quiet;
Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,
And those who hate You have exalted themselves.
They make shrewd plans against Your people,
And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
They have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
That the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant:
The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,Moab and the Hagrites;Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; (as in Lebanon - next door to Syria)Assyria also has joined with them;
They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah. (Selah=stop and think about that)Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
Who were destroyed at En-dor,
Who became as dung for the ground.
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb
And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Who said, “Let us possess for ourselves
The pastures of God.”
O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like chaff before the wind.
Like fire that burns the forest
And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
So pursue them with Your tempest
And terrify them with Your storm.
Fill their faces with dishonor,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever,
And let them be humiliated and perish,
That they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.

While Israel looks to Iran and maintains a cautious eye on Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, the sneak attack comes from Jordan.

See Ezekiel 27 and 28.

Because Edom, Moam, Ammon is in present day Jordan, because Lebanon is involved and because Lebanon and Syria are close, there is some thought that the highly anticipated destruction of Damascus, Syria noted in Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 must be close in proximity.  This may be a big stretch, but interesting to see the seeds of prophetic fulfillment on TV and Internet everyday before our eyes, right here in 2012.

Also check out Ezekiel 29-37.  Ezekiel 29 and 30 warn Egypt.  Ezekiel 31 warn Egypt to consider what happened to Syria.  Does this mean that Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 are already fulfilled.  Ezekiel 32-37 continue to discuss the judgement of Egypt.

All these verses, tell us Syria's destruction comes first and the sneak attack from Jordan even earlier.
