Human Wisdom and God's Sovereign Omnipotence
Ann Coulter blasted Dr. Ken Brantley for his idiocy for going and staying in a third world Ebola infested west African nation and for Samaritans purse for spending $2 million dollars to come get him.
In her comments here she gives all of her sterile well considered apologetic for her position. While there have been many occasions when I have felt great affiliation and agreement in her sentiments, in this case I believe she is misguided.
I agree that this is a terribly expensive rescue and those monies might have been used for more good. At the same time she and others rail at Obama Care for the old age committees and the best use of health care dollars, while condemning those that made every effort to save one.
In Dr. Kent's comments recently he is quoted as saying here:
“My wife Amber and I, along with our two children, did not move to Liberia for the specific purpose of fighting Ebola. We went to Liberia because we believe God called us to serve Him at ELWA Hospital.Might that money have been used more effectively for a larger good, of course. Is Dr. Kent responsible for his choices - yes. Should extraordinary methods have been used? This is again a great component of the larger healthcare debate. Does the state have a right to dictate how much is too much and who will live and die? Do the American people have the right to set their level of taxation based on the cost of treatment?
You may not agree with the economic decision, but to call Dr. Brantley's professed obedience to God's directive idotic, is another thing entirely.

I am spun up about this today, because a coworker at lunch today, suggested Israel should just get out of the way, no one wants them over there and they should all move to Florida.
No one on the planet may want them there, but there is One who created every inch of that land and who gave every inch to His covenant people the Jewish Nation of Israel.
If I quote anyone I'll quote The Creator of Heaven and Earth here:
Genesis 12
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”1 Corinthians 13 tells us that knowledge will pass away. It seems to me that it is happening now. On Tuesday night I heard Dave Ramsey, a faithful Christian man, tell a young man to take a windfall and invest for the future. Misguided wouldn't you say? It is the end of the end of the end. We're leaving, while the stock market creeps higher, the U.S. bombs ISIS in Iraq with no clue who is who in God's covenant land. The U.S. threatens Russia. Haven't seen America with any noteworthy mention in end times prophecy. By the looks of things she won't be here, see also Jonathan Cahn, Isaiah 9:10, 9/11 + Stock crash of 2008 + 2015 (23rd of Elul) is just over a year away.
All venting aside I am convinced that we are at the very end. Probably in the next few weeks, but of course no one knows the day or the hour and certainly God's grace, mercy and exceeding patience do not quickly reach their full measure:
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
It seems to me if the dark forces would leave Israel and the Church alone they would have a better time of it. They'll get free reign for seven years, but then it is over.
Revelation 12:12 (NLT)
Therefore, rejoice, O heavens!
And you who live in the heavens, rejoice!
But terror will come on the earth and the sea,
for the devil has come down to you in great anger,
knowing that he has little time.”
