Pope's Enemy #1: Taking The Bible Seriously
It seems he is on a crusade against truth:
Someone should point out to the Pope that we can know absolute truth because God revealed it to us in His Word. Also, how is taking God's Word seriously and not twisting it "lacking God" and "idolatrous"? Wouldn't common sense dictate just the opposite? That is that not taking God's Word seriously would be idolatrous... crafting a god of one's own design.
Also, someone should also point out to the Pope that not all fundamentalists are alike. When Muslims take their book seriously, jihad and violence are necessary. When Christians take their Book seriously, love, self-sacrifice, and Evangelicalism are necessary.
And now the Pope is calling Christians and Muslims "brothers and sisters", which is completely contrary to God's Word (see 1 John 5:1-2, Hebrews 2:11, Matthew 12:50, Luke 8:21, Romans 12:5, 1 John 3:14, Philemon 1:16).

'Fundamentalism is always a tragedy. It is not religious, it lacks God, it is idolatrous,' the Argentine pontiff told journalists on the plane back from the Central African Republic... 'We Catholics, we have a few, even many fundamentalists. They believe they know absolute truth and corrupt others,' he said, adding: 'I can say this because this is my Church.' "

that day shall not come, e x c e p t there come a falling away first--comma--and--that man of sin be revealed...very important sentence structure...comma...and...
that day-the falling away precedes it--then the 2nd happening (somebody on board is revealed to kick off his reign of utter terror from hell itself) the last 3 1/2 years still on the books for fulfilling the times of the gentiles and then That Day can come.
the 2 things presented are hooked by the comma--the word and---then----it says...that man....
does he need a temple to sit in? are some details more to fulfill a type than the exact example previously in Scripture and still fulfill the intent God is aiming at? Jesus said whoever he is will be standing in the holy place-matt 24:15 --and how close are we to seeing international armies surrounding jerusalem as in luke 21:20? the stage is nearly set for this also!!! (are we not living the birth pangs Jesus speaks of right now?) peace is leaving the earth making way for those who promise the whole world "peace and security" correct? (in their thinking they need the jews and the christians out of the way don't they? they are getting that done more and more even as we speak-the hatred of the jews is mounting (and now europe is labeling them again as in persecutions past to marginalize them further as the scapegoats for the world)
but perhaps really all he needs is temple mount...(that sacred spot). let the reader understand is what Jesus said. (i'm trying to understand and see this in context) the jews are not going to get to build (or maybe start but not complete no matter how "ready" they are) the 3rd temple until they are saved by Jesus to make them fit spiritually to do it (the ezekiel ch 40 temple is the one in which King Jesus will rule from). they are spiritually desolate right now---the land is overrun-is in desolation and about to be made more so when the lawless one takes over from there-then it is the abomination of desolation we will see in type according to daniel the prophet. daniel 11 speaks of a fortress--the wailing wall is a fortress wall--and the lawless one will know the jews desire for the temple and compromise with them in all that to secure their short time allegiance. temple mount has cameras installed to capture all this and more as you've pointed out in previous threads.
2016 is about to manifest very much. i'm not setting a date but i am watching closely, i believe so many prophecies will fulfill very quickly and soon! politically and religiously the landscape is nearly ready for the man of sin......and the world is every day more deceived to receive him......the revived roman empire is about to get "the wind beneath their wings" to roar to life and produce their version of "savior" to the world....it is a global world now!....all things global are in place waiting for that lawless one...BUT GOD..has a plan in place--a remnant to save!!! the Blood will never lose it's Power! even yet and HE is making all things ready for that harvest.
we are called to endure--stand fast--2 thess 2:15 and see this mighty salvation that will come after the falling away (of false professors). the true church will emerge in the great persecution from the lawless one--jews will finally come wholesale to Jesus and those gentiles yet to be brought in will stand out from their countryman coming to Jesus also.

Jesus said do not fear, and HE said go ye,........ for lo, I AM with you, even unto the end of the world.
He reminds us: in the world you shall have tribulation but He gives us His Peace...and to be of good cheer--for HE has Overcome the world. that's my KING--our KING--Righteous and Holy. He cannot fail us.
