Deadly Bacterial Infection Spreads Across Midwest U.S.

Of 57 infected, 18 have died.  That is nearly 1-in-3: a 31% mortality rate.  The bacterial strain is called Elizabethkingia and it is so deadly because it appears to be resistant to antibiotics.
