BREAKING: Israeli Government Shake-up, Defense Minister Replaced, Bibi Expands Coalition
In a surprise government shake-up, Netanyahu has managed to expand his conservative coalition's razor-thin 61 MPs (out of 120 total) by bringing in the nationalist Avigdor Lieberman and his six lawmakers. The Defense Chief Moshe Yaalon has resigned and Lieberman will be replacing him. This may have major prophetic significance.
Netanyahu may now have the political power to become the nation's longest serving Prime Minister and his coalition will be able to force through more pro-Israel legislation. More importantly, Bibi will have the political margins to launch a preemptive attack on Iran's nuclear facilities if needed.
Additionally, as a very conservative West Bank settler, Lieberman angers the world's liberal powers that be and will bring Israel closer to confrontation with the world. This may be Israel's answer to Obama and the U.N.'s moves towards forcing a Two-State Solution.
