BREAKING: Russia Building Army Base Only 180 Miles From Golan Border
There is breaking news from The Jerusalem Post that Russia is building an army base in Palmyra, which is in central Syria. This follows the news that Syrian government forces have retaken the ancient city from ISIS.
A major Russian army installation in central Syria would put large numbers of Russian forces much closer to Israel's northern border than current Russian bases in Syria's north. In fact, this base in Palmyra is only 180 miles from the Golan Heights, which is purportedly the location for the battle of Gog and Magog described in Ezekiel 38-39. It is only a three or four hour drive via major roads.
