Patriotism, Trump, and Bill Kristol's Pro-Hillary Plot

Despite many incidents of vandalism of military memorials across the nation (here is one example), the rest of the country is reveling in a surge of patriotism. Matt Drudge shared a link today citing a company that manufactures American flags. According to company owner Jodi Goglio, the ramp up of American flag purchases is due to a "rise in patriotism,” over and above the usual increase in sales that is associated with political campaign years or manufacturing surges (new buildings often buy flags). I can attest to this myself. The surge of patriotism even among ordinary, non-political people is palpable, signalling this election to be a serious "change" year for the nation as a whole. A Trump victory will be a huge blow to the Obama coalition, which is busy burning American flags and boasting about reconquering Texas and California for Mexico.

In other-- but related-- news, Donald Trump was met with excitement and affection by the 29th annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle run. The New York Times does its usual best to make all its Trump stories negative, but even they admit that mutual affection was in the air:

WASHINGTON — Donald J. Trump, the Manhattan real estate mogul who boasts about his wealth, maintains a fleet of aircraft and sells his own brand of neckties, paid respects on Sunday to an incongruous constituency.

“Look at all these bikers,” Mr. Trump, standing before a crowd in front of the Lincoln Memorial, said with admiration. “Do we love the bikers? Yes. We love the bikers.”

Mr. Trump was addressing a gathering at the 29th annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle run, a vast event over Memorial Day weekend that is dedicated to accounting for military members taken as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action.

Bikers assembled at the Pentagon before riding en masse into the nation’s capital, with many dressed in leather vests covered in patches, their bikes rumbling throughout the afternoon.

For the blunt-spoken Mr. Trump, who likes to stress his desire to strengthen the military and improve how veterans are treated, the gathering provided a receptive audience, if one where he might otherwise seem out of place.

“He speaks what’s on his mind and means what he says,” said Tom Christian, 43, a heating and air-conditioning contractor from Tennessee. “And that’s what a biker does. That’s the way we are: We say what we think. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, go the other way.”
You can find the video of Trump's speech, and a little bit more coverage, over here at The Gateway Pundit.

Meanwhile, "conservative" pundit Bill Kristol seems to be plotting to torpedo Donald Trump in order to get Clinton elected. Kristol, who once said that he would prefer Hillary to Trump, hinted over the weekend that he has found an independent candidate who "has a chance." In other words, he's found a spoiler candidate.

If Kristol manages to find someone with high name recognition who he can properly fund, it is highly possible Trump could be damaged enough to allow Clinton the victory in November. This would put at least 2 or more supreme court seats in jeopardy. As pathetic a protection the Supreme Court has been lately, things will be much worse with a court packed with Hillary Clinton judges. Furthermore, any and all UN treaties and economic trade bills (the latter is probably Kristol's biggest concern, as trillions of dollars are at stake for Kristol's benefactors) are guaranteed to pass. Aside from a few people like Jeff Sessions in the senate, there is no real opposition in Congress that can be depended upon to resist these bills. US sovereignty can be destroyed in a hurry under a Clinton Presidency, with little chance of recovery.
