Antichrist speculation
Given the recent developments with the U.S. pulling back from Israel at the U.N. under the direction of President Obama and President-elect Trump's stated intention to support Israel, including moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, I am curious if President Trump will be the man about whom Daniel 9:27 is written.
Pure guesswork at this point, but given the impending Revelation 12 fulfillment and the continued climax and convergence of signs, the speculation aligns.
As has been stated in the past
Will Trump move the embassy? Will he affirm the 1947 decree? The 1948 birth and the 1967 expansion?
Will he withdraw support in 2020, during the middle of the week?
Don't know, but am watching 2017 closely.
Will the signs of Christ's imminent return, be increasingly dramatic and obvious?
Don't know. I do feel a bit like I'm on the roller coaster on the slow jerky climb to the top. Mostly there is great faith and joy, still to be thrust into God's presence is the most serious of matters and the gravity for those around me that are far from Him is overwhelming.

Strong's 1396The NASB says the Anti-Christ (AC) will make a covenant. The NIV and YLT say he will strengthen an existing covenant.

Interesting thoughts to ponder, Greg, especially whether the AC will create a new covenant, or confirm/strengthen/affirm an already existing one. Roller coasters make me sick nowadays, but I too feel like we are on that "slow jerky climb to the top." Until we free fall...up and up! Here comes 2017.

DeleteI heard that Donald "The Art of the Deal" Trump plans to have his son-in-law Jared Kurshner (Ivanka's husband) actually negotiate the two-state deal (in whatever form it may take) with Israel and the Palestinians. I didn't think too much about it until I stumbled across a little tidbit that just warmed the heart of my inner conspiracy theorist: According to Wikipedia, in 2007 Kurshner bought a huge office building in Manhattan at 666 Fifth Avenue for a record $1.8 billion (.6 + .6 + .6).

DeleteJared Kushner is also Jewish. Scholars speculate the AC could be Jewish in order for Israel to listen to him and sign a treaty with him.

DeleteAll interesting speculation. However, based on Dan. 9:26-27 and the history of the Catholic Church, the antichrist will come from Rome, capital of the formercRoman Empire. The ac is none other than Pope Francis at this point. According to James Dobson, Donald Trump accepted Christ at a meeting with Evangelical leaders in NYC. Trump and Pence both will be raptured. The Pope will confirm the covenant.
