BREAKING: Brexit Will Likely Be Triggered Today Or Tomorrow
Ever since the June 23rd referendum in which the British people voted overwhelmingly to leave the European Union, there has been a concerted effort on the part of Remain-friendly politicians in the U.K. to prevent Brexit at any cost. Ultimately, they succeeded in having their Supreme Court rule that withdrawing from the E.U. could not happen without Parliamentary approval - in effect the referendum was held in contempt.
However, to the surprise of many, the British Parliament has just formally approved Brexit, which means Prime Minister Theresa May will likely invoke Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon either today or tomorrow, but no later than the end of this month, which is the formal means in the E.U. treaties allowing for a withdrawal.
