Victory In The United Methodist Church
In a 6-to-3 vote, the highest judicial body within the United Methodist Church ruled that the consecration of practicing homosexual clergy violated church law. This was a showdown many years in the making. Many thought that the UMC would go the way of a number of liberal mainline denominations like the Episcopal Church that have abandoned basic biblical definitions of sin, marriage, gender, and personhood.
The tables began to turn last May when in a 445-to-310 vote, Methodist Church representatives voted to overturn longstanding pro-choice policy and officially become a pro-life denomination. It is thought that theologically conservative Methodist Church leaders from Africa helped carry the vote.
With the 6-to-3 vote, the UMC is, at least for now, both pro-life and pro-biblical marriage. Praise God.

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
