The Fire Angel

Readers, I wanted to share with you this story from our brother Jim, one of the leaders on our Discussion Board.  Jim is from South Carolina and this is his account of some interesting prophetic connections made with his state, which happens to be the terminus of the August 21st total solar eclipse.

The Fire Angel
by Jim Davis

Two islands stand at the eastern edge of South Carolina, guarding the harbor of the city of Charleston, one of the oldest colonial cities on the eastern seaboard. Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms were the site of many historical events, including battles during the American Revolution and Civil War. South Carolina’s state flag came about because of events that occurred on and near these two islands.

In regards to the flag, Wikipedia says:

In 1775 Colonel William Moultrie was asked by the "Revolutionary Council of Safety" to design a flag for the South Carolina troops. In his memoirs, Colonel Wiliam Moultrie tells us: "A little time after we were in possession of Fort Johnson, it was thought necessary to have a flag for the purpose of signals: (as there was no national or state flag at that time) I was desired by the council of safety to have one made, upon which, as the state troops were clothed in blue, and the fort was garrisoned by the first and second regiments, who wore a silver crescent on the front of their caps; I had a large blue flag made with a crescent in the dexter corner, to be in uniform with the troops ..."In the 16-hour battle on June 28, 1776, the flag was shot down, but Sergeant William Jasper ran out into the open, raising it and rallying the troops until it could be mounted again". This gesture was so heroic, saving Charleston, South Carolina, from conquest for four years, that the flag came to be the symbol of the Revolution, and liberty, in the state and the new nation.

The palmetto tree, a type of palm, was added to the flag later but referred to the palm tree trunks used to construct the hastily made fortifications used to defend the island from the British fleet. The palmetto logs, overlaid with tons of sand, withstood the barrage of the British cannons in an embarrassing defeat for the Royal Navy.

Two years ago, in the summer of 2015, my family and I were in a rather rough spot. We had a lot of health and financial needs at the time. My wife, who by that time could be considered semi-disabled, was expecting our 7th child. I had lost my privately-owned business a year earlier and we had lived off the liquidation of its assets, and our tax refund, and a few odd jobs, until I was able to get a full-time job as a security guard. The job was one of the few things I could do with the back injuries I had sustained. With the new baby on the way, we needed another vehicle with nine seats instead of eight. We had some unexpected bills come up, and we also had some other difficult needs arise regarding our home and property. My work shift included two back-to-back 8-hour shifts on Sunday, making me miss church completely. I also worked Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, 8-hours each, so I missed prayer meeting as well. Except for rare instances where I was able to swap a shift with someone, I was not able to attend church. We did meet with friends for Bible study on Saturday nights.

I began reading my Bible during slow times at work. I trusted Jesus as my savior when I was five years old, and had had ups and downs in my walk with Him ever since. This was one of those down times.

One evening, at work, as I stepped out onto the back balcony of the building, I saw two bright planets near each other in the sky—Jupiter and Venus. Recent events had rocked South Carolina. On June 17, there was a mass murder in Charleston, at the opposite end of the state from where I live. Nine people were mowed down in cold blood in a prayer meeting service by a young man who evidently had a vendetta against blacks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston_church_shooting With rioting going on elsewhere in the nation, I felt a cold foreboding that the United States was in for trouble. I wondered if the two planets being close together could possibly have any heavenly connection with current events.

When I got home, I checked the internet and found that these two planets were about to have a conjunction with the moon on June 20, 2015. The night of the 20th, I watched for it, and sure enough, I caught the isosceles triangle before it slid over the horizon. Not knowing as much then as I do now about astronomy, and especially its relation to prophesy, I nevertheless thought it might be significant. I felt an eerie surreal ache in my soul, telling me that things had gotten to a tipping point in the world.

Unfortunately, I did not know about Stellarium at that time, or I could have used it to find out a lot more about the conjunction I saw that day. It was summer time, so how could I know that one of my favorite patches of stars, the Winter Triangle, was lined up in an interesting way with the small tight triangle formed by the moon, Venus and Jupiter? On many a frigid January or February night in Maine, I used to go outside and look up at the stars and see my patch of sky—the winter patch. Orion, Taurus, Canis Major and Minor, Auriga, and Gemini. That was MY piece of the sky. And dominating it is the Winter Triangle—three of the brightest stars in the sky—Beetelgeuse, Procyon, and Sirius—a nearly perfect equilateral triangle of the coldest nights of the year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_Triangle

Not content with the Winter Triangle, I also like to make it into the Winter Cross (my own term) by adding in Rigel. Then it is shaped like a giant cross in the sky. Little did I know, since I could not see these constellations on June 20, that below the curve of the earth, the Winter Triangle and the Winter Cross were pointing straight at the little temporary triangle made by the moon, Jupiter, and Venus! And another thing I didn’t realize was, that all three of them were pointing directly at Leo. I also had no idea that the sun was in an even closer conjunction with Mars than Jupiter and Venus were to each other.

And here’s the kicker: The moon was in exactly the same position as it is on the South Carolina state flag. And its points, as well as the points of Venus, if I could have seen them, were pointing up toward Leo and Virgo, which of course we now realize are the constellations of the Revelation 12 sign.

I always liked Leo, if only because it was one of the few constellations outside my winter patch that I could easily identify. That and the big and little dippers. I may have noticed at the time that the little triangle pointed at Leo like and arrow, but I did not know how significant Leo would become to us all.

I also did not realize that this was exactly 100 days before the final blood moon of the final tetrad on 9/28/2015. The tetrad moons were “on my radar” due to all the hype about them, but I really didn’t know what to think about them at that point. It would be 826 days before the Revelation 12 sign.

Here is an unobstructed view of the sky that night. It would have been visible like this at certain points on the earth. You can see Regulus just to the left of Jupiter. Mars and the sun were in very close conjunction above Orion’s club. You can see my “Winter Cross” pointing straight through the small triangular conjunction and on into Leo. This huge cross in the sky always points toward the lion—or the lion faces the cross, which ever way you look at it.

Six days later, on June 26, I heard the grim news that the US Supreme Court had ruled on homosexual marriage—in favor of it. This was most unfortunate. I don’t think I have to tell you that the number 6 is the number of mankind. It is also the number used to show the working of the adversary. 6/26/2015.

It was right around that time—I don’t remember the exact date—that I was so at the end of my rope, that I cried out to God in the middle of the night and pled with Him to come and take the broken pieces of my life and do whatever He wanted to with it. I surrendered everything I had back to Him. I told Him He could do anything—anything at all—that He wanted to with me and my family, if it would bring glory to Him. I confessed sin. I admitted I did not love Him as I ought. I begged Him to give me a new love for Him, and for His Word. I counted up all the financial needs I thought my family had, and I made the bold move to ask Him for $5,000 to meet my family’s needs, including buying another vehicle, doing repairs to the house, catching up the bills, and other needs.

After making these surrenders and requests and re-commitments to the Almighty, I was overcome by a sudden wave of panic. WHAT HAVE I DONE? I JUST SURRENDERED EVERYTHING TO GOD!!!!! OH NO!

He reminded me, that it was always His to begin with. He would sustain me. He would carry me through. And He impressed on me, through the Spirit, that I had begged Him years ago to take away a gift He had given me, and He had done it. Would I take it back again? Would I let Him use me in the way I had abdicated years before? Yes. I would. The gift of dreams. I would let Him.

I can’t remember now if it was that very same night, or another, that in my sleep I suddenly stood below a huge snow-covered mountain, and knew or guessed that it was one of the Rockies. A massive, mighty voice like an avalanche or a roaring waterfall said audible words that I could not understand, but the thoughts were instantly translated silently in my mind—“WHY DO THE PEOPLE NOT FEAR ME, SINCE I AM THE ONE WITH ALL THE POWER?” Then the mountain burst apart, and the top fell off and barreled down toward me—millions of tons of rocks and snow—inescapable death.

I awoke in a panic, and perceived that for the first time, the Lord Himself had spoken to me directly. I quickly gathered that the landslide of the mountain was not specifically aimed at myself, Jim, but rather at the nation in general—anyone who did not fear the Almighty. I think God was very angry about the Supreme Court decision and set things in motion that summer that will establish the course of history forever.

On August 16, an event occurred that I didn’t find out about until a few days later, when I saw the photo making the rounds on Facebook. It was this picture right here:

When I saw it, I immediately thought that it had to be a sign. This rainbow-topped cloud formation was photographed over Isle of Palms, South Carolina, on August 16, 2015. It was seen by hundreds of people, and many photos were taken. Incredibly, the cloud formation and the “fire rainbow” on top of it remained in place right on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean for nearly an hour. When you think how quickly clouds morph and dissipate and blow away, this itself is unheard of, but local news substantiated the claims.  Now come on, I think any of us can say that the cloud looks at least a little bit like an angel. And if an angel wanted to show up, but not completely manifest himself, how do you think he would appear, anyway? I showed this to my three year old daughter and asked her what it was, and after a second’s hesitation, she simply said, “an angel.”

Now when I saw this, I thought it was somewhat disturbing that the rainbow was upside down. What could that mean? I knew that the rainbow was God’s sign of the Noahic Covenant, which was a promise that He would never flood the earth again. The entire earth, that is. I also realized that God was probably angered that the homosexual crowd had co-opted His sacred symbol and used it to represent something very evil.

If anybody’s counting, the Fire Angel cloud appeared 51 days after the Supreme Court’s decision, 57 days after the conjunction sign, and 60 days after the Charleston church shooting. More about this cloud, and the possible angel it disguised, later.

Just ten days after this sign in the Heavens, my wife gave birth to our 7th baby, whom I shall refer to as Baby T. for privacy’s sake. She was the only one of our babies that my wife gave birth to naturally without anesthesia. Though my wife had six babies previously, this was the first time for her to actually experience the pain and travail. Little did I know that I had given the baby a first and middle name that turned out to prophetically refer to the soon-to-come 7th Millennium and its peacefulness. I really wasn’t thinking about the Kingdom at the time I named her. God is gracious, and had provided, without me or my wife realizing it, prophetic names for all seven of our children, which tell the story of the seven millennia. I only just realized this a few months ago, much to my surprise. Baby T. has turned out to be the most even-tempered, joyful, pleasant, peaceable baby we’ve ever had—not at all like her dynamo next-youngest three year old sister, who represents the 6th Millennium and its explosive destructive finale. By the way, earlier I told you that the conjunction occurred 826 days before the Rev. 12 sign. Coincidentally, Baby T’s birthday is 8/26.

Baby T’s birth was a joyous occasion to us, but we still had monumental problems. One by one, though, God supplied for our needs. I kept track of the money He provided from unexpected sources. Some people gave us cash. Some paid bills for us. Some provided things we needed. Right about the time Baby T. was born, somebody gave us a 9-seat GMC Suburban worth about $2,000. We have been driving it ever since. A big bill we thought we owed became resolved in an unexpected fashion. Friends came and helped us with our house repairs. We went through a really rough time, and were very humbled by the help we received. By the time all was said and done, what was given or done for us exceeded the $5,000 I had asked for by a long shot.

Let’s go back to the angel cloud over the Isle of Palms. I bring up the name of the island, because I plan to talk about palms again here in a minute. Let me mention that Isle of Palms and the adjoining Sullivan’s Island are barrier islands on the seaward side of Charleston Harbor. We live near Greenville, some 200+ miles from Charleston. Right smack in between, in the middle of the state, is the capital, Columbia. Keep that info in mind for later; there will (maybe) be a test. Basically, Isle of Palms is a little bit south of Mt. Pleasant, and those two upscale resort towns are the last inhabited areas before the ocean.

On September 28, 2015, the last blood moon of the tetrad glowed red over the world. It was 100 days after the 6/20 conjunction, 94 days after the Supreme Court decision, 43 days after the Fire Angel, and 33 days after Baby T. was born. Don’t put that #33 back in the box yet, we may need it again. It was also the first day of Sukkot, or Feast of Tabernacles, according to the Jewish calendar. Now it is time to remind you that during the Feast of Tabernacles, or Booths, people would build little booths to camp out in for the week’s festivities. A very common building material for the sides and roof was, and is to this day, palm fronds. Now you may go back and remember that the Fire Angel appeared at the Isle of Palms.

On October 1, 2015, the rain began. And boy did it begin. A massive “perfect storm” dumped many inches of rain on North America from Florida to New Brunswick, but it was South Carolina that took the point of the spear. Right where the Fire Angel had stood over the shoreline received about 20 inches of rain in five days. Charleston was massively flooded, and upstream, Columbia was also in trouble. (Just as an aside, let me remind you that “Columbia” is also a poetic name for all of North America). The worst day of all was 10/4 (the policeman’s code for “OK”) when excessive flooding burst dams and river banks in multiple parts of South Carolina, flooding hundreds of homes and businesses and trapping people. 19 people died in South Carolina, five in various other states, and one in British Columbia, Canada. One of the South Carolinians who died, some 100+ miles from my house, was a young lady who used to attend my church, and with whom I used to work in a children’s ministry.

The rain finished up on October 5th, which is also the last day of Sukkot, in case anybody was keeping track.

The beginning of the rains of the flood was October 1st, which was 103 days after the conjunction, 97 days after the Supreme Court abomination, 46 days after the Fire Angel, 36 days after Baby T’s birth and three days after the tetrad blood moon.

The fourth day of rain, October 4th, where the dams, levees, and banks burst, was also the 7th day of Sukkot. It was therefore 6 days after the blood moon, just as the Supreme Court decision was 6 days after the conjunction. 10/4 was probably a confusing day for police and fire rescuers, since they may have sometimes confused the date with their radio confirmation sign in the heat of the moment while they were saving lives left and right. 10/4 was both the 4th day of the month and the 4th day of the flood. Number 4 in the Bible usually refers to things having to do with the earth and its workings, seasons, and weather, as well as practical, down-to-earth people, like many of the rural and suburban South Carolina folk who lost their homes. 10/4 was also 49 days after, and 50 days inclusive, from the day of the Fire Angel, and exactly 100 days after the Supreme Court’s fateful decision was announced.

For the final day of the flood rain, 10/5, it is interesting that this is the 8th and final day of Succot, and is considered in Jewish tradition the day of departure—the day they leave the feast and go home. The storm departed, and the flood waters continued their journey to the sea—right back to the mouth of Charleston Harbor where the Fire Angel had towered over the barrier island 50 days before. Conversely on the police radio, 10/5 doesn’t mean departing, it means “heading toward (a particular destination).”

The 2015 flood, especially in the Columbia region, was regarded as a 1,000-year flood. Which is funny, since nobody around in 1015 was very interested in keeping enduring records.

Now I knew why the rainbow was upside down. Not just to indicate God’s displeasure at the homosexual community for misusing His symbol, but also to indicate that the promise of the rainbow is a global and not local promise. If you ever see an upside down rainbow again, you might suspect that flooding is on the way.

It is no accident that Columbia took a walloping in this 1,000 year flood. For one reason, corrupt Columbia politicians that summer gave up all efforts to block, protest, or fight against the federal mandate of allowing homosexual marriage in every state. Many of the citizens of South Carolina wanted the state government to fight tooth and nail, even using the 9th and 10th amendment provisions, but the elected officials showed no interest in resisting, and rolled over and played dead. For another reason, Columbia’s government was corrupt to begin with, and needed a good dousing. For a state with such a conservative electorate, South Carolina’s leadership is ghastly, in my opinion. Third, as I mentioned before, I believe this was a shot across the bow for all of America. America = Columbia. As in, “Hail, Columbia. . . .”  9/11/2001 was the first big shot across the bow. The massive East Coast storm of 2015 was another, 14 years later.

Now that we’ve looked at the flood, I want to go back and look at the angel again. I honestly don’t know if what manifested itself above the beach of Isle of Palms was an actual angel thinly disguised as a cloud, or a cloud made by God to resemble an angel, or something else. But it does remind me of one particular Bible passage: Revelation 10.

1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

Now, this is where it gets crazy, because here we see an angel clothed with a cloud, with a rainbow on his head, face like the sun, and his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the earth (so he’s at the seashore), crying with a voice like a lion. And I think you can see how several of these aspects match up with the Fire Angel over the Isle of Palms. But this angel is found in one of the most mysterious chapters in the entire Bible—Revelation 10, which talks about the mysterious seven thunders—which God did not allow to be recorded.

Based on the context of the chapter, it appears that these events seem to happen (in my understanding) near the middle of the Tribulation period. By no means do I mean that the Fire Angel in the clouds seen on 8/16/2015 marked the midpoint of the Tribulation—that wouldn’t compute at all! But maybe God was sending a miniature Tribulation on South Carolina. In fact, some 18 months earlier, South Carolina had suffered the brunt of the February 2014 ice storm that devastated parts of several states and killed 22 people. I saw the devastation firsthand. There’s nothing like an ice storm to show you what Romans 8:22 means:

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Afterward, in 2016, South Carolina and other states in the southeast experienced far greater forest fires than usual.

Now when you realize that the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 crosses right over South Carolina including the three largest cities (Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston), and that one of the last places where the path of totality leaps out to sea is Isle of Palms where the Fire Angel was spotted, this entire thing gives me the chills, even on a hot, muggy South Carolina day.

There is so much more I could go into. I could back up and write the entire article all over again, and include the great Charleston earthquake of August 31, 1886. August seems to be a rather ominous month in Charleston.

And maybe another time we could look at the C.S. Hunley, the world’s first submarine to sink an enemy ship. Its place of operation? Sullivan inlet between Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island.

And did you know that in the days of slavery, little Sullivan's Island held the quarantine center that processed around 40% of all slaves that were ever brought into the North American colonies and states?

In addition to the Battle of Sullivan's Island during the Revolution, need I mention that the Civil War’s hostilities actually began in Charleston harbor? Fort Sumter lies in the path of the eclipse as well, and stands on the opposite side of the inlet from Sullivan’s Island.

And when I was about to be done with this article, I got goosebumps as I realized that Hurricane Hugo hit South Carolina right at Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms on September 23, 1989, exactly 28 years (7x4) to the day before the Great Sign in the heavens of 2017. The eye of the hurricane went right over these islands as it stormed ashore.

Folks, there’s a lot more to discover here, I can feel it. Maybe you never knew that Charleston, and the state of South Carolina, were so important to prophecy. Or maybe I only notice, because it’s my home state.

  2. Come out of her, my people.

This is sobering. Thank you for sharing. My heart wrenched as you described all you and your family have gone through. I am so glad your situation is better now, but ...would an out of state move be out of the question??

  4. I am always in wonder about the seven thunders... If they weren't to be recorded, why are they mentioned at all? What significance are we to draw from them? That 7 mysterious things will happen, or that shadows of the things to come will happen?

  6. Regarding your South Carolina flag of the moon and palm tree, as I studied the flags of the Revolutionary War, I was reminded of these scriptures: "He appointed the moon for seasons..." Psalm 104:19. And "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree..." Psalm 92:12. Also, the temple that the house of Israel was to seriously observe and study was adorned with palm trees throughout. Knowing that our forefathers were sincere Bible-believing Christians - many devoutly so - I believe they chronicled that faith with the symbols on their flags. Thanks for your informative story.

  8. As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives,
    Each wife had seven sacks,
    Each sack had seven cats,
    Each cat had seven kits:
    Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were there going to St. Ives?

Does this also mean that the Rapture will happen on 23 September? Look, all sevens.

    Jim

  9. II Peter 3:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

  12. A couple of things stand out to me here. Such as the trials and tribulation you experienced in 2015, that brought you back to God, also happened in my life. I'm sure there are many more that could say the same if we compared.

Also, The point you make about SC being a microcosm of scripture events in REV. What I know for sure is that TRUTH cannot be disproven no matter what the setting. So, we know REV to be manifesting today because it's happening on a personal level for us, on a local level for our communities, on a national level in our govt, on a global level with world leaders and physical global phenom, on a universal level with celestial events, and (on earth as it is in heaven) we have to assume it's also happening in heaven...now.

I love that you are witnessing these moments and searching for the thread that ties. Continue to share!

  13. Thank you for sharing. Thank you all for reading/ posting/ watching for the Lord's return for His bride.

I need to, however, point out the "Fire Angel" seems to be a bit contrived or made up. It seems Project Blue Beam continues to ramp up its efforts all over the US and world prior to its grand release. I am sure science or even a layman could explain away how this is a random cloud reflecting water etc... BUT, this surely looks like an image of an angel and surely looks as if it is part of the coming deception/ delusion!!!!! Project Blue Beam is testing all over, even on SC beaches in the middle of the day. Remember, the Jews are looking for and demand a sign (1 Cor 1:22) and they are going to get it (and a great show via fake, but real looking images).

See 2 Thess 2:9-12 NIV below:

"The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness."
