Soleimani Killed By U.S. Forces, Iran Calls It A "Declaration of War"
BREAKING NEWS FROM BAGHDAD: The leader of the Iranian Quds force, Qassim Soleimani, routinely called the top terrorist mastermind in the Iranian government, has been killed by U.S. forces at the Baghdad International Airport. Other top military leaders were also killed in the attack, including the second-in-command of Hezbollah, Deputy Secretary-General Nail Qassem, as well as Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of the Iran-backed militia known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, or PMF.
This comes on the heels of the Iranian-sponsored attack on the U.S. embassy in Iraq's capital. If Trump wanted to send a message to Iran, this was the biggest message that could be sent, short of outright war. Soleimani was widely considered to be the single top target in the Iranian government, and the brains behind Iran's international terrorist efforts. Will his death be the next Archduke Ferdinand moment, or will Iran now back down?

The assassination of Qasim Suleimani at Baghdad Airport is likely to be a turning point in the Middle East. It may also be start of a conflict, which could spiral out of control as Russia, China, America/ her proxies try to use this moment to reassert their power.#IraqiProtests pic.twitter.com/MBjIIXjcuZ— Prof. Ali Khan Mahmudabad (@Mahmudabad) January 3, 2020
Soleimani was an enemy of the United States. That’s not a question.— Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) January 3, 2020
The question is this - as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?

DeleteYou people are bloodthirsty. I have to question a belief system that preaches a "peace plan" is a foreshadowing of war, and a war is a welcome event to herald the "return" of your "savior." If Satan exists, that is the true inspiration and source of The Bible. Christianity is a sick, twisted and demented belief system.
ReplyDeleteI believe you have it backwards. The Iranians in Iraq as well as Syria have been cold-bloodedly massacring the people of those countries. The leaders of those bloodthirsty Iranians were removed so that no more atrocities of terrorism would take place. The Iranians have no business in mass murdering like they have been. The US has meted out justice for those innocent lives taken BY these bloodthirsty leaders. Genuine Christians are against terrorism and the murder of the innocent which these leaders promulgated daily.
DeleteHello Anonymous, and thank you for coming...
DeleteI get your point of view as it used to be mine long ago. Questioning a belief system, any belief system is requisite and I insist upon it as a minister and person of faith. That is what I did many years ago before being called into ministry.
Human belief systems are crippled by one major flaw. Humans.
We are by definition, "sick, twisted and demented" as you say. The term most used in Christian circles is "depraved". But the Bible is not about us -- it is about God. It is His story, a story we get to play a part in.
May a share a piece of it with you?
Yes, Satan exists. Mankind is witness to and victim of his enmity toward God and God's creation. Satan's intervention in the world in the beginning and the collateral damage inflicted upon humanity resulted the depravity you point out above. But the story doesn't end there. God gives us the greatest spoiler of all time,
15 "I will put enmity between you
and the woman, and between your
offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head, and
you shall bruise his heel."
(Genesis 3:15 ESV)
Ultimately, God is saying He Himself will defeat Satan and RESTORE everything to as it was in the beginning. He did that through the holiday we just celebrated,
Delete14 Therefore the Lord himself
will give you a sign. Behold,
the virgin shall conceive and
bear a son, and shall call his
name Immanuel.
(Isaiah 7:14 ESV)
"Immanuel" a name which means, "God with us". Joseph and Mary of Nazareth were told to name their son, Yeshua (Jesus) because He would save His people from their sins. The name Jesus means, "Saviour, salvation". Jesus is Immanuel. He was the Christ, Messiah, to come. The Old Testament tells of His coming while the New Testament discusses His life on Earth and its impact.
Satan has been working to steal, kill and destroy from the beginning. At one point he believed he could destroy Jesus Himself. Whether you believe it or not, whether you're aware of it or not, we are living in a time of war. We were born into it. Open spiritual warfare that spills over into this world.
In the beginning we were given free will and chose poorly. That choice resulted in consequences that only Christ Himself could reconcile. Christ Jesus reconciles us to God the Father by His perfect sinless life and sacrifice.
God tells us through the Bible of things yet to come...we call that prophecy. Much of it has already happened. That which we discuss here at UNSEALED.ORG is related to that which has yet to happen. We believe we are seeing the unfolding of the final chapters in the war that ends with final, total and complete peace as everything is restored to it's rightful owner.
GOD.
I do not welcome war.
DeleteI do not count these people as my enemy.
I pray for them as I pray for you everyday. Yes, I pray for YOU and ALL OF US everyday.
I pray for the encouragement of the saints, brothers and sisters in Christ, and for those who have yet to accept and understand God's love for them through Christ Jesus.
Once I spoke like you do (above). That's what I saw in the church and what I thought was Christianity was all about. What I saw was blind mankind and sin -- it was not God in Christ. God opened my eyes through the wreckage of my daily life to the factual truth of His Love for me. That I wasn't meant to live a life in darkness, bound in a prison of my own making. A prison where I was bound in chains for which the keys to freedom were in my pocket!
I was blind to my state. Jesus literally pulled me from the fire.
Yes, we are living in a war. It began at the fall of man and Satan is our enemy. He has been beating the drums of war from the beginning, pitting brother against brother, man against man, and will do so until he is finally ended by God Himself. I do not welcome war I abhor it. But God has already told us to expect it and that at a certain time He will bring an end to all war.
We are expectant of Peace. Eternal Peace.
That is the ultimate story of the God of all creation; the One that desires to be in fellowship with His creation. That desire requires a people that genuinely love Him.
In the beginning, through the first man Adam ("Adam" a Hebrew word which means "man") we lived in peace with God. That all changed when the single rule (Law) man had to live by was broken. The second man Jesus, a transliteration of the Hebrew word "Yeshua" which is the same name as "Joshua" and means, "Saviour, salvation" came to keep the Law that mankind broke. All of it. He then paid in His own blood the price of that sin; He paid the eternal fine for our violation of the Law setting us free.
This is what Christ accomplished on the cross -- an event we remember at Easter.
We broke the Law. Jesus paid the price for us.
Through Christ we are set free. Freedom for anyone who calls on Him. All of us, me, you, even those who call themselves our enemies. This is His free gift to all and all you have to do is ask Jesus and accept His free gift of life. Accept His free gift of forgiveness and freedom from all sin. We can't earn it, we don't deserve it still He gives Himself away.
This is how we ask,
9 that if you confess with your mouth
Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes,
resulting in righteousness, and with the
mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says,
“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL
NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”
12 For there is no distinction between
Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is
Lord of all, abounding in riches for
all who call on Him;
13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE
NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”
Jesus did say "Vengeance is in My Heart"
DeleteAll power and Authority is His.
I know that A lot of so called Christians are going to be staying and they will gladly give up there life the hard way!

Anon, it's unfortunate you view Christianity that way. We don't desire violence and conflict upon people nor are we egging it on or, at the very least, we shouldn't be; what we do look forward to is the return of Jesus. Unfortunately, this isn't going to happen until a lot of horror is done and over with first.
ReplyDeleteWe look forward to the true, lasting peace that Christ will bring at his return and put an end to the horrors and cruelty that infest the world even during supposed times of peace like human trafficking, abortion, torture, corporate/political corruption, and mental and physical illnesses among the populace like autism, deformities, depression, chronic pain, disabilities, anxiety and social disorders, suicide and self harm, the list goes on.
We don't want people to suffer and die, but we do get excited as we see signs of the end result approaching, and for those of us in Christ, the rapture in particular. Even if we don't get snatched before any conflicts break out beforehand we do not fear potential death. I'd personally rather get the "big" horror done and over with and put it ALL to an end rather than have things drag on as they are now.
The devil is a crafty, clever and formidable opponent. Ever since the beginning in Gen. 3:15 the context of which was quoted earlier he has been trying to convince people that God is the bad guy. His success stems largely from the fact that he has convinced many that he doesnt exist. That he is just some cartoon caricature with a pointy tail and red leotards.
ReplyDeleteIn Matt. 4 when Jesus was tempted by the devil, one of the temptations was if Jesus worshipped him that he would give him the kingdoms of the world. He couldnt offer him that if he didnt possess it. The devils end is explained in Ezekiel 28:18 and of course in Revelation. And we will have a front row seat!
AMEN!
DeleteDear anonymous, I have been a believer since 1988 and I wait with blessed hope that my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ will come to take us with him in his kingdom as he promised. God is not a man to lie. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Prophecies must be fulfilled before he returns. Unfortunately, war is part of it, especially in this part of the world, very connected to God. And almost all of the biblical prophecies have been fulfilled and there is still more to come but what had to be accomplished concerning Christ who comes to seek his believers, this has been accomplished and we are fervently waiting to leave to be always with him. It is by faith that we are saved and this hope is also part of it. The wars we are talking about here are part of the prophecies that remain to be fulfilled and our prayer is that the greatest number of people understand free salvation in Jesus and that they come to him sincerely before we leave for heaven. . It contains our families, friends, neighbors and people all over the world because Jesus died for all and was raised for all. He says that he will not put out whoever comes to him. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus! Carole
ReplyDeleteC'etait tres bien, Carole. Pas de soucis. Merci et benedictions. :)

DeleteA speculation: Is Israel already "unwalled"? Jerusalem can be considered to be at the center of Judaism spiritually, historically and in prophecy. Therefore, Jerusalem's walls might be the only ones that ever mattered or should ever matter. Those walls were destroyed by the Romans in 70AD which enabled the Romans to enter and destroy the Second Temple, the heart of Jewish religion. Any walls built after that do not possess the same significance. Should we then reconsider Ezekiel with less of a literal modern view, ignoring any modern walls, and perhaps understand each of Ezekiel's words' in light of historical prophetic import and symbols/signals in context of Judaism up until the time of Christ and then translate to their potential of meaning today based on knowledge of scriptures and Judaism and what those words not just meant but would have conveyed previously?
ReplyDeleteI think the only walls are those around the palestinian areas not all around Israel. That's why I think Israel is now a land of unwalled villages

DeleteHello everyone, I also hope for the rapture of the Church very soon, maybe this year with all that is happening but let us not be fooled by the enemy who easily lies. The devil does not relax. ReplyDeleteThe political left really infuriate me. No matter what Trump does they have to take an opposite, contrary view which is typical of them. Ive been listening to them a long time. They have always tried to appease the enemies of this country, afraid of doing anything thats going to make them mad at us. I saw this back in the '80s with Reagan. And now they have the gall to accuse Trump (who has his faults) of being an agent for the russians. They say that its good that soleimi is dead BUT watchout!
ReplyDeleteThats really gonna make the iranians mad and we probably would have been better off leaving him be. I thank God for our President and pray for him often, if the deep state cant beat him with the things they've been doing they may resort to a desperate solution. Assassination?
Don’t worry. Nobody can do anything to President Trump that God will not allow. God has thwarted every phony plot/scheme their little minds invented and exposed them !

ReplyDeleteAn aside, but related - sort of:
ReplyDeleteHopefully it's true that all of us know and question why we believe as part of our growing relationship with Christ. In fact, it's Biblical to do so. Questions are a GOOD thing. But, sometimes finding the answers are not so easy.
Even the basics like HEAVEN & HELL can be a problem and one I've been trying to suss out for a while now - who from when goes where.
I can't post a chart, so I'll try this list style:
PRE-CRUCIFIXION
Believers - Abraham's Bossom/Paradise/Shoel
Non-Believers - Hades/Hell - next door to Paradise, but the "bad" side???
N.B. Awaiting The Great White Throne Judgement
CHURCH AGE
Believers - Heaven
Non-Believers - Hades/Hell
TRIBULATION
Believers - New Earth; but WHERE BEFORE hand - before the earth is made new???
Jews - New Jerusalem on earth; but where before it's made new?
Non-Believers - Hades/Hell
MILLENNIUM
Believers - ???
Non-Believers - Hades/Hell
The above can be backed up chapter and verse.
It's the ??? I'd like answers to - what am I missing?
Just curious to know what role each group of believers from different dispensations will fill and where each will be.
