Zechariah 12 is a wealth of information. Although it doesn't give exact timing, it gives exact circumstances. What kind of circumstances?
Time Marker: Judgment Time
And it has come to pass in that day, || I seek to destroy all the nations || Who are coming in against Jerusalem...
(Zechariah 12:9 LSV)
Here we have a pointy and very specific time marker for chapter 12.
Messiah Realized
10 And I have poured on the house of David, || And on the inhabitant of Jerusalem, || The Spirit of grace and supplications, || And they have looked to Me whom they pierced, || And they have mourned over Him, || Like a mourning over the only one, || And they have been in bitterness for Him, || Like a bitterness over the firstborn. 11 In that day, great is the mourning of Jerusalem, || As the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the Valley of Megiddon...(Zechariah 12:10–11 LSV)
The house of David gets a rude awakening, and they come to the realization that the Messiah was pierced. Hrm, what would wake Israel up? Makes me think about Jacob's trouble or Daniel's 70th week.
Quarantine?
12 And the land has mourned—every family apart, || The family of the house of David apart, || And their women apart; The family of the house of Nathan apart, || And their women apart; 13 The family of the house of Levi apart, || And their women apart; The family of Shimei apart, || And their women apart, 14 All the families that are left, || Every family apart, and their women apart!(Zechariah 12:12–14 LSV)
Here is where it gets interesting. What does this sound like to you? Quarantine, perhaps? If this doesn't sound like quarantine, I don't know what would.
If we remember back to the time of Passover 2020, Israel went into lockdown over that feast time. It is interesting that Israel is once again moving towards a full lockdown during the High Holy Days that are coming up.
I am sure they are thinking about how massive the crowds get in the seventh month.
So in a response to the historic crowd-size it seems that they will be putting people into lockdown once again.
All of this is happening right at the anniversary of the Third Day.
Now is the Time to Believe
Well it shan't be long now till we find out. Somebody pinch me... could this really, finally be happening... like in less than two weeks?! So much is pointing to this being so. Come quickly, Lord Jesus! Your anxious, weary Bride awaits her Bridegroom!
ReplyDeleteFeels surreal right? You think when Jesus was afoot, going town to town, that sometimes people thought, "wow, could He really be this close? "
DeleteYesssssss!!!
Mind blowing! Isn't it!
DeleteIf we are not called home in 2 weeks, I'll be very disappointed! More so than I was three years ago and every "high watch day" since.
DeleteI saw something very interesting during our evening walk today. Just after sunset, there was a very bright (wandering) star, which appeared extra large - like two objects right next to each other. I took out my SkyView app and the 'star' was Saturn and Jupiter. They are in Sagittarius. I don't know what it means, but these planets only cross paths every 120 years. There is no Hebrew word for coincidence...
Brother i was doing a study on this. They call it the great conjunction. Its at its peak on december 21st. Last time this happened was may 28th 2000. So i looked between those days and u get 7512. 7512 in concordance is the 2 verses talking about the antichrist in Daniel. Check back on this.u will be amazed. Also, its coming out of the sagittarius constellation, the rider on the horse. Also it could be a sign of the antichrist. Jupiter the king star alignment with saturn, satan, also December 21st is Emanuel macrones birthday! Coincidence? Either way this is amazing
DeleteYes!
DeleteI learned from the site thecreatorscalender.com that the first day of the month should, according to the bible, be at full moon. This is the case on the first of october.

Super Maranatha! To God be the Glory ;)
DeleteAnticipation is so crazy high right now. Every day we get closer, I seem to want to put up a wall of protection so I'm not devastated come Sept 21. But, I know one of these days, we will be right. :) Come Lord Jesus!!!
ReplyDeleteRemember 9/23/2020 is the revelation 12 sign anniversary. 9/22 is the equinox. 9/18-20 is FoT. They also have a global shofar event on FoT at 11:00 am Israel time, that is 3:00am CST.
DeleteThe story surrounding the birth of Christ is actually a picture of the Rapture of the church. The whole story actually gives the timing of the rapture. It might not give the exact day and hour, but it gives a very clear time frame.
DeleteLuke Chapter 2 gives the account of the birth of Christ and the story of the Shepherds. There is no account of the three Magi in Luke Chapter 2.
Matthew Chapter 2 gives the account of the birth of Christ and the story of the Three Magi. There is no account of the Shepherds in Matthew chapter 2.
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the SIGN to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
Luke 2:10-12 NKJV
The sign that the Shepherd's received was that they would find a newborn baby wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a Manger.
At the same time, the three Magi received the sign of the Star of Bethlehem that appeared in the east and in which they followed, first to Jerusalem, and then to Bethlehem. These two groups of people received their respective signs at the same time, at the very moment that Jesus was born.
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared.
Matthew 2:1, 7 NKJV
In this account Herod was diligently inquiring of the Wiseman exactly when the star appeared because he was trying to determine when the child was born.
And when they had come into the house, they saw the Young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 2:11 NKJV
By the time the three Magi came to Bethlehem, Jesus was two years old, approaching his third birthday. It doesn't really matter exactly how old he was, what's important is that the Bible makes it clear that he was 2 years old, sometime between his second and third birthday.
We note from this passage that they didn't come to the stable to see a newborn baby, they came into the house and found the young child with Mary his mother.
Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.
Matthew 2:16 NKJV
Herod knew how old the child was because he had determined his age by talking to the Wisemen and diligently inquiring when the star had appeared which signified the moment of his birth.
Now this is how all of this ties in with the Revelation 12 sign of September 23rd 2017 and the day in which we are living right now.
We know that the three major characters of the Revelation 12 sign have dual representation.
The woman first represented Mary, giving birth to Jesus and in modern days represents the nation of Israel which gave birth to the body of Christ. The woman giving birth was portrayed by the constellation Virgo, the virgin. The Rapture of the church is literally portrayed by a woman giving birth in many places throughout the scriptures
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, (Israel) as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Delete1 Thessalonians 5:3 KJV
The male child first represented Jesus and now represents the body of Christ. The male child of course was portrayed by the planet Jupiter.
The Great Red Dragon represented Herod who tried to destroy the male child and now the great red dragon represents Satan along with the Antichrist and the Beast system who will try to destroy the body of Christ.
Just like Jesus when he was 2 years old was forcefully and violently snatched out of Harm's Way (harpazo) by Joseph as he fled into Egypt with the child and his mother, so, in the same way, the male child represented by the body of Christ being birthed, portrayed by the Revelation 12 sign, will be forcefully and violently snatched out of Harm's Way (harpazo) and caught up to the throne of God. (raptured)
As we approach the three years date from the Revelation 12 sign which signified the birth of the male child, we, the body of Christ, in relation to September 23rd 2017, are 2 years old. On September 23rd 2020 we turn 3.
Just like Jesus was snatched out Of Harm's Way sometime between his second and third birthday when he was 2 years old, I believe that the church will be also be snatched out of Harm's Way sometime between it's second and third birthday signified by the Revelation 12 sign.
If this type and Shadow holds true we must be raptured no later than September 22nd of 2020.
It seems to me that if we are still here past September 23rd 2022 Revelation 12 sign seems meaningless. We know that nothing in the Bible is meaningless. Our blessed hope approaches.
Amen!
DeleteAmen. Thanks Matthew.

DeleteI hesitate to say this; because I know that many people have come to Christ within a context where they were led to recite a prayer like this. Many others who repeated it have told me (sometimes in hushed tones...) that they're sure they weren't saved when they did so, but that the experience prepared them for the time when God actually DID bring them to life in Christ... But I have also known people who look at this in a way that essentially is like signing a fire insurance policy by which they're safe "just in case..." I knew a lot of guys in the Army who thought this way, and it was hard to shake them from a false confidence in this form of "evangelism", because it's really undeniably a form of works salvation when you tell someone, "If you said the prayer, you're now a Christian..."
ReplyDeleteI do believe that the gist of the prayer captures the essence of a believing response to the gospel. But, rather than putting the words in a person's mouth and leaving them to think of them as a sort of magical incantation, I think it's best to explain from Scripture that God (as God...) rescues (as in HE is the One who is active in the process...) sinners (who have nothing to boast of in the process...), and then tell them to go to God and talk about it with HIM. The LAST thing I want to do with a sinner who has heard the message of salvation is be a control-freak with him or her.
The scripture says in essence, believe to receive, to oversimplify it a little.

ReplyDeleteHi Miguel/All,
DeleteIndeed, it is time to go isn't it?!!
We, my family and I, are well if not over worked with plates overfilled. Even so I have been watching and taking notes and praying for you all. It is so encouraging to see the enthusiasm and writing being shared here on the coming Day. The Spirit is truly being poured out in these last days!
This has always been one of my greatest hopes for you all. That you would all preach the Day and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with confidence and boldness.
I hope to be caught-up with you all here at UNSEALED soon and post some observations I made on the coming Equinox. A beautiful picture is soon to unfold!
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Blessings, always,

So good to hear from you PR. Thanks for your thoughts and your prayers too.
DeleteHey guys my name is Richard Patrick. I have been following Unsealed and a few others since July 2017. I've only posted a few "amens"over the years, but I have read every article and most comments. I just want to thank you for the meat that has been delivered to us. We are so fortunate to be living at this time. I can't wait to meet u all in the air. We fly soon.
ReplyDeletePS Gary or whoever is in charge of the rapture index score, might want to adjust it if it's not at maximum already
ya the score needs to be at 8000 rpm
DeleteLike many of you I am anticipating the rapture soon. I have always believed that the Feast of Trumpets could possibly be the time our Lord calls us home. We know Christ fulfilled the Spring feasts and the church was born on Pentecost. However, to keep one from becoming to weary, like JD Farag's message at Jan Markel's conference last year, we can continue to occupy until he comes. How many lost do you know that need Christ. Remember, only the Father knows the day and hour. He didn't say we wouldn't know the season, but when it comes to the day, only God knows. I suggest that you purchase the video "Before the Wrath" by Ingenuity Films on the Jewish Galilean wedding. Recently I showed the video to my congregants on our monthly prophecy updates. I don't write often on this page, despite being a pastor. Most of that has to do with my lack of grammar skills. College never helped me, lol! I believe many of us can keep disappointment at bay when we are looking up with anticipation while abiding in our relationship with Christ and doing the work He has called us to do. I don't know about you, but my heart leaps with excitement when God uses me to plant, water, or share in the harvest of a soul. So, if you are weary ask God what you can do for him. Philippians 1:6 says "I am confident of this that He who began a good work in you will complete it or finish it until the day of Christ Jesus." I hope this has encouraged any of you weary folks!
ReplyDeleteLast few years I have kept hearing that 'the day and hour no man knoweth' refers to the Feast of Trumpets, and that they couldn't declare it was the day until they had seen the new moon. I've also heard that a 'twinkling of an eye' refers to the moment at sundown when three stars become visible and a new day begins. To me, it seems we are being told precisely when to expect Him... Only when it actually happens will we know though...
DeleteIndeed!
DeleteAmen, Chosen12, amen.
Kris,
It is true that Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets, is the appointed time that no man knows. This is because it is predicated on the sighting of the new moon by witnesses and spans 49-hours in celebration. Since the sighting of the new moon is predicated on weather conditions we never really know when the appointed time will begin?
We do have a better idea, at least today, of when the sighting of three stars may be made. This is what we call Nautical Twilight. You can reference this data at sites like timeanddate.com where you can access tables showing sunrise and sunset for any given city.
Here is the sunrise data for Jerusalem this month
Take a look at the September 23rd. What do you see? The length of the day is 12:06:01 (HH:MM:SS) which is 726-minutes AND Nautical Twilight will come at 7:26 pm (IDT) for Jerusalem! ALL ON THE SAME DAY!!
Is that enough to raise the hair on the back of your arms?!!
This is one piece of what I have to share. More soon...
Blessings
I have just opened the Bible at this scripture in Fil 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: nota
ReplyDelete21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
4:1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
I know we will come to this moment soon.
HOLDING FAST! Amen! Revelation 3:3
DeleteDon't be surprised if we are still here on this after this September.
ReplyDeleteWe are just watching. Revelation 3:3
DeleteBe encouraged.
[1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 KJV] 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Really Moin....what is so useful about your post? Just so you could come on here in October (if the Lord tarries) just to say “ I told you so!” Sigh........
DeleteI have been following along on this site for about 4 or so years and definitely suffered the disappointment that 9/23/17 didn't pan out to be the rapture. I see the things in the world that are occurring and do know that so much is in alignment for next week that it just makes you really hop that this is really going to be it. Like Gary, there is a date next week that means a lot to me as my dad was saved on 9/17/13 and taken home by complete surprise the next day. To me, I gained my dad for eternity on 9/17/13 and lost him for just a little while the next day. So, I rejoice in what is to come while my siblings still just don't get it. I am in a strange place however in that I have a land purchase in progress that closes on the 30th. Is this a Jeremiah land deal or is God just keeping me busy until next week? Or, will I be up on the mountain in the land I am buying building out the ministry that God is leading me too? I go into the future not looking back in hope that we all go home soon but, just like in September 2017 there is this nagging voice in me saying "this isn't it yet, keep going". So ... hopes for a new land in the next few weeks will happen one way or another! I'd prefer the real "going home" for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt's a roller coaster, but at some point the ride must stop and let you off ;) Revelation 3:3
Delete@Unknown,Thank you for sharing that. Your perspective is exactly as it should be and I'm so excited for you, myself, and others to be with our loved ones again! Possibly very soon! My brother and I often discuss the every day dealings we have in progress and why God would allow it if He is about to call us up. The answer is simple, whatever we do, we do as unto the Lord until He does call us up. Whether we continue or complete something does not affect His return. He knows this predicament and just wants you to be filled with joy as you do whatever you do.

When they say "Peace and Safety". Perhaps the peace is the various peace deals with UAE, Bahrain, etc and the safety is lockdowns, quarantines, masks, etc. Both are tremendously timely.
ReplyDeleteYep, it isn’t just 1, it is all of them
DeleteWhat about the trumpets they asked permission to blow on the FoT?
ReplyDeleteThey are. Glick is really working hard on trying to get there this FoT!!!
DeleteGreat!!!!!
DeleteMatthew but it they start the lockdown then they won't be able to right?
DeleteWe don't know, maybe someone will sneak out and blow it ;) heheheh, if not they have a global call to blow the shofar at 11:00am Israel time. That is 3am CST. I cannot find it now, must have been somewhere on FB from the temple institute. I should have bookmarked it!
DeleteOk! Thank you! I can't wait!
DeleteThis? https://www.facebook.com/templeinstitute/videos/766392040791400/
DeleteHere are what those shofar blasts mean,
Delete1) Tekiah (x1) – Search your heart, abandon evil ways and seek forgiveness through repentance
2) Shevarim (x3) – Trembling notes typifying sorrow for wrongdoing and a desire for change
3) Teruah (x9) – Very short note like that of crying or sobbing
4) Tekiah Gedolah (x1) – Prolonged, unbroken note, the final invitation for the Messiah to return to His repentant people
14 blasts were played in this video. This is an interesting in light of (Matthew 1:17) because this sounding played is repeated three times (x3).
14 x 3 = 42
17 So all the generations
from Abraham to David were
fourteen generations, and
from David to the deportation
to Babylon fourteen generations,
and from the deportation to
Babylon to the Christ fourteen
generations.
(Matthew 1:17 ESV)
Note how the total number of generations from Abraham to the Christ are 42-generations. The shofar is blown,
3 ( 1(Tekiah) + 3(Shevarim) + 9(Teruah) + 1(Tekiah Gedolah) ) = 42
This sequence is blown is variations for a total of 100 blasts with what we know as the last trump being the last (final) longest note of sounded with the deepest (longest) breath possible. This long note is a call to the Messiah to come and meant to confuse Satan as to the timing of the Coming of the Lord.
The blowing of the Shofar is a worthy study. The Shofar is especially well known in connection with Yom Teruah. The Day of Trumpets, the Day of Shouting is called as such because the trumpet can be not only the Shofar but your own voice! Singing in worship is on par with sounding the Shofar.
Worship well!
Thank you, I already know. My question to Matthew was if they are on lockdown are they going to blow it. He answered me he couldn't find where he read something about it so I sent a link asking if it was that one.
DeleteThat is part of it. There is another post floating around about world wide blowing at 11am Israel time.

I think I could have read those verses in Zechariah a hundred times and not seen the possibility of a quarantine! That's a brilliant observation. So, if it is true (and it may be) let's extrapolate. Since those verses are indicating that the blindness on Israel is lifting and they are realizing that Jesus was/is the true Messiah then the rapture had to have just taken place. Paul said in Rm 11:25 that the blindness happening to Israel would remain UNTIL the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
ReplyDeleteWhere do we see that taking place in Revelation? Why Seal Six, of course. It opens with an earthquake indicating a resurrection has just taken place, which John will see shortly (thank you David W Lowe author of Earthquake Resurrection for that!) and then immediately we have the declaration of the Day of the Lord and the SEALING of the 144,00 Jews...the blindness has just been lifted. This event is clearly associated with Feast of Tabernacles, and it is imminent as the first five seals have been opened. Now, I know you folks at unsealed.org will not agree with that analysis but it's just food for thought as I hold your writings with high regard and have deep respect for what you do. Thank you for this article.
I cannot take all the credit ;) Paul at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJGqpznu3gkEn72QCwqsHXQ observed this back on passover. When they went into the full 2nd lock down, my alarm went off. I Was like... really? Now? Oh boy!

Glory to God for His care and specificity in fulfilling prophecies and keeping His appointed times!

Hey,
ReplyDeleteI just want to point out a tiny detail. In Zechariah 12, Zechariah refers to the incidents that would happen in the day of the LORD. you can see the phrase "in that day" all through the chapter. The day of the LORD hasn't started yet and it won't start until the 7 year covenant is signed with Israel and lasts through the end of the millennium. So, we can't surely conclude that it's referring to quarantine. In fact, Jesus himself said that two shall be in the field, two shall be sleeping but one shall be taken and the other left behind. it can't happen when it's in quarantine. OR CAN IT?
I meant the day of the LORD starts at the beginning of tribulation and ends at the millennium. It's the period of time that God is judging the earth.

ReplyDeleteI’m not even sure that it’s the right kind of question to pose, but after following all the above comments, I wonder what would carry more symbolic weight, so far as a potential Rapture date: Feast of Trumpets or the third anniversary of the Rev 12 sign? They’re rather close together.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, there are better people here to answer your question, but hopefully this will grease the wheels and someone else can chime in. It's really a great question. I believe rev12 sign fell on the third day of feast of trumpets in 2017. I think the gist of your question is which day is more important or likely for a rapture. Right? That's a tough one to answer, but it should be noted that the the alignment and overlap of several days is very telling:
DeleteFeast of trumpet is yom teruah in the native language. It starts on rosh hashana aka the new year. This year it starts on the 18th and ends sundown on the 20th of this month. Not sure when the last trump blows. But then on the 22 is the equinox which marks the end of summer and day is 12 hours and night is 12 hours. So check out these three verses in light of that, credit to Jimboni for pointing out these verses.
Jeremiah 8:20
Acts 20:31
John 11:9
Pretty significant? and then the next day we have the three year anniversary of rev12 sign aka the great wonder. So for me, the 22 is the most likely day, but there are also other days that deserve a careful watch later in the month if those days disappoint. And if that ain't it, well hang in there. No matter what.
@Miguel P, ty, that sums it up ;)
DeleteHello, this is all very exciting.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I'm terrified. I cannot sleep at night. I keep thinking I don't trust and believe Jesus rose and saved me enough. I do believe He did, but I'm scared that I don't believe enough - doubts enter my mind and I try to stop them. Please pray for me. I want to be with the Father in Heaven and I love him. Please pray for my surrender to Jesus.
Roman's 10:9 and Roman's 8:31-39
DeleteIf your faith is in Christ, you are saved. How much you believe is not easily measured and cannot separate you from Him anyway. You still sin and you wish you didn't? Yeah, His sacrifice covered that too.
@Claudz, Please watch this, this teaching really helped my family 3 months before the revelation 12 sign: The Biblical Doctrine of Blood Atonement
DeleteWe will pray for you ;)
Remember it is about genuine faith, not perfect faith, only Jesus had perfect faith.
A good way to run a litmus test is to understand the middle eastern definition of belief, if you have no problem dying for something you believe, then you believe.
Also here is a good process card that the scripture left for us:
[Ephesians 1:13]
In whom ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
See there, you are sealed there is no undo button.
One other thing that helped my family.
[2 Corinthians 9:15 KJV] 15 Thanks [be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.
Try this when you pray.
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for what you did for me on the cross. Thank you for your atonement. Thank you for proving to us and giving us eternal life through your resurrection. Thank you for not staying in the grave. Because you died, I am forgiven, because you resurrected, I am alive. I am sorry for all the bad things I did, doing, am going to do, help me to do better tomorrow. Thank you for making me a child of the resurrection. Thank you for coming back to get us one day soon. DeleteHi brother Claudz, I want to assure you that once you put your faith in the atoning work of Jesus, it is His job then to complete/carry out the requirements of the covenant, not yours.
DeleteLook at 2 Timothy 2:11-13
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us: If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
The fact is, the moment you put your trust in Jesus you died to sin/condemnation/judgement and you resurrected in Christ. This is a one-time event. You can't die again. So for anyone who has died and resurrected, now, even if they are faithless He remains faithful. His faith fills in the gaps. The transaction of your death and resurrection to life has already happened. And He will harpazo you for His own sake, not even for your own sake. Because you are now His body.
So don't look at it as "believing enough" - it's binary, someone has either trusted in the blood or they haven't. If you have trusted in the blood once, you will be harpazo'd. For His sake.
Hello, Claudz,
DeleteIndeed, we are living in terrifying times and you have every reason to be afraid. Aren't you glad that NOT being afraid is NOT a Commandment?!! God knows all hearts and He certainly knows your heart.
Being afraid is normal. If it were not so we wouldn't hear, "Do not be afraid" so many times in the Bible. Fear not, being afraid is normal and NOT an affront to God.
Part of my coming to faith was through exploring the nature of God. God is perfect and in modern terms is very digital. In this light I came to understand that I fall short in every single way to be good enough, to believe enough and to live well enough to earn eternal life and forgiveness.
I never can be good enough and nothing I can do in and of myself would ever earn a place in heaven. Ever!
ENTER JESUS
DeleteJesus DID live good enough, believed enough and was faithful to God in every way imaginable to such an extent Jesus lived a perfect life according to the standard of God.
This leads us to question: Do we believe that Jesus is who He says He is; and if we do what are we suppose to do about it?
28 Then they said to him,
[Jesus]
"What must we do, to be
doing the works of God?"
(John 6:28 ESV)
There it is. Plain and simple. Jesus, what must we do to be doing the works of God? What does God want us to do?
There is only one answer,
29 Jesus answered them,
"This is the work of God,
that you believe in him
whom he has sent."
(John 6:29 ESV)
BOOM!!!
That's it! That's all of it. The ONLY work you are to do is believe in him, Jesus, whom God has sent.
Paul puts it this way,
9 because, if you confess
with your mouth that Jesus
is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised him
from the dead, you will be
saved.
(Romans 10:9 ESV)
Paul confirms John. The ONLY work we are expected to do is believe. EVEN IF it's equivalent to a smouldering candle. Expect God to fan the flame in your heart. We cannot do it -- only He can and He will!
It's a BIG step!
Stepping into a world we feel but cannot yet see is counter to everything we grow-up with in this temporal construct called Creation. We live in a shadow of what is yet to come -- and what is yet to come is built upon that which was Created from the beginning. The place in which God Himself created to live with those He created in His own image.
That includes you! That includes me and everyone who places their faith, hope and love in Jesus.
Everyone.
And what are we expected to do?
Nothing more than believe!
10 For with the heart one believes
and is justified, and with the
mouth one confesses and is saved.
(Romans 10:10 ESV)
CATCH THIS!!!
In other words...when you,
1. Believe in your heart
2. Confess your belief to God in your own words
...you will be saved. You will be justified, meaning, "Just as if I didn't do it!" and you will be saved! Why? Because of Christ's eternal gift of salvation to you!!
We don't earn it and we don't deserve it. His gift of forgiveness and eternal salvation is an unmerited gift of LOVE by the Grace of God Himself through Christ Jesus our Lord.
So Claudz my friend, my dear brother, know that Jesus holds out His nail scarred hand to you. Don't be afraid to take it. All it costs us is our pride (the original sin). There is no life in sin. Instead leave it in the grave where it belongs!
Go public and declare your faith! Get baptized immediately if you haven't already done so!! If you have then reaffirm your belief in Christ, renew your vows of faith daily and feed upon His Word through Scripture and the fellowship of the saints.

Faithfully yours,

Claudz,
DeleteI used to have a lot of doubts about my salvation. I would constantly repent, bring my sorrows to the Lord, and ask for forgiveness. I would doubt my salvation and God back to God for re-assurance or try and repent with more faith, so as to cover my grounds and become double-sure that God had saved me! Oh what a pitiful "faith" I had, that I would come back to God to ask him to do again, what he had said was already done. Did I even have faith at all, or could such faith be more accurately described as doubt?
I believe you are in a similar situation, to where I used to doubt my salvation. I found the root cause was my "faith" not standing on the right foundation. I was focusing on my own attempts to confess, on my own attempts to believe harder, on my own ability prove to God that I was sorry for my sins, and that I was going to turn to God and his ways.
The goods news of Jesus death, burial, and resurrections lies not on my own strength, but rather on Jesus shed blood. It's through faith in his blood that our forgiveness of sins has been provided. It's through trusting in the good news of the gospel that Jesus seals us with the Holy Spirit of promise. It's through faith in his resurrections we can know he'll likewise raise us up.
My plead to you is to stop focusing on your on degree of faith, and instead make the measure of your salvation be based solely on Jesus' work on the cross. Count Jesus faithfulness to God, when he died on the cross, was buried and rose again, as your proof that he will likewise raise you up to be with him in the clouds on resurrection day. Put all of your faith in him. Rest fully in his faithfulness. Believe in Jesus's fully satisfying payment for you sins. Let your faith stand in Christ alone, firmly focused on the blood atonement.
Romans 3:25-26 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."
Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"

I would also recommend this unsealed thread about repentance. It's very easy to get focused on your efforts at repentance, if one doesn't fully understand what biblical repentance really means. This post helped me immensely! I cannot recommend it enough.

Here's a article that I think might help stand in faith that's firmly on Jesus finished work alone.
