The Church as the Fullness of Christ
The following Unsealed post is dedicated to brother Dan Matson, who used his math and numerical prowess for the glory of God. We will see you in the air very soon!
Veterans of the faith often hear and speak of the Church as the Bride, Body, or Temple, which are all legitimate, biblical descriptors of born-again believers in this present age. However, when was the last time you heard the Church referred to as "the Fullness?"
This lesser-known reference to the Church as "the Fullness" (of Christ or God) is coined by the apostle Paul:
And He [the Father] put all things under His feet and gave Him [Jesus] to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of the One filling all in all (Ephesians 1:22–23, BLB, brackets mine).
In the Greek text, the terms are listed one right after the other: The Church. His Body. The Fullness. Paul writes with a flourishing, poetic style in the original language of Scripture:
Eph. 1:22–23 (Greek): te ekklesia hetis estin to soma autou to pleroma tou ta panta en pasin pleroumenou
Aside from the skillful alliteration of all the "p" sounds (pleroma, panta, pasin, pleroumenou), the apostle rhymes to soma (the Body) with to pleroma (the Fullness). Soma and Pleroma. The Body and the Fullness.
At the time of this writing, God is still in the process of "filling" the Body. However, the full number of believers is about to reach capacity. Paul affirms this truth later on in Ephesians, again pairing the terms "the Body" and "the Fullness":
And He gave some indeed to be apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, toward the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ, until we all may attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (4:11–13, BLB).
In his other letters, Paul solidifies the tight-knit connection between the terms "Christ" and "Body":
For even as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also [is] the Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12, LSV).
The Body is part and parcel of the complete man, "the Fullness" of Christ. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate!
Where there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, slave, and free; but Christ is all and in all (Colossians 3:11, BLB).
Where Christ is, there the Body is. And when Christ departs to heaven at the time of the Pre-Tribulation Resurrection and Rapture, the Body goes with Him:
And she brought forth a male son, who is about to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, and her child was snatched up to God and to His throne (Revelation 12:5, LSV).
"The Fullness" by the Numbers
An instructive passage from the apostle Paul speaks of the delineation and timing of the end of the Church Age and start of Israel's Tribulation period (which will ultimately result in the complete salvation of a chosen remnant from the 12 tribes of Jacob):
Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:25, ESV).
Note the time marker "until," which indicates there is coming a time when God will decisively shift his attention from the Church back to Israel. In other words, from this text we can infer that the end of the Church Age is signified by "the fullness" of Gentile [believers] being brought into God's house (specifically, they are incorporated into the Body of Christ; Romans 12:5).
Paul isn't the only one to point out "the fullness" of Gentile believers during the Church Age. The apostle John, in his own way, confirms the same thing at the end of his Gospel:
So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn (John 21:11, ESV).
This momentous event at the conclusion of John's Gospel symbolizes, prefigures, and represents exactly what Paul explains in Romans 11:25; namely, Jesus' chosen apostles will be sent out as "fishers of men" to bring in a large number of Gentiles during this present age. And note: even though there are so many in the net, not one fish is lost, because "the net was not torn." This point echoes Jesus' words in John 6:39, "This is the will of Him who sent Me: that I should lose none of those He has given Me but should raise them up on the last day" and John 10:28, "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand."
In short, Paul's "fullness of the Gentiles" (i.e., the complete number of Gentiles in the Body of Christ) is represented in John as a peculiar number: 153.
To the average reader, this number is a little strange but ultimately means nothing in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure that some commentaries will merely state that this was the specific number of fish in the net, and that fishermen count their fish, nothing more, nothing less. Yada, yada. YEAH RIGHT!
Of course it means something! This is deep!
John's original audience, mainly Gentiles, were familiar with the mathematics of Greek legends such as Archimedes, Euclid, and Pythagoras. Curiously enough, just try doing an online search of "Archimedes Measurement of a Circle" and you will soon discover a familiar architectural design found in many ancient churches: the vesica piscis (literally, "the bladder of a fish"). It is pictorially represented like this:
Archimedes (circa 3rd-century B.C.) came up with this equation for the measurement of a circle, which later became associated with fish (go figure!). Here's the Wiki entry for "153 (number)":
The number 153 is associated with the geometric shape known as the Vesica Piscis or Mandorla. Archimedes, in his Measurement of a Circle, referred to this ratio (153/265), as constituting the 'measure of the fish'...
If you read on further in the Wiki article, you'll notice that 153 is also referred to by mathematicians as a "triangular number." In other words, it is a number that is produced when the first 17 integers are added up: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16 + 17 = 153.
In other words, "the fullness" of Gentiles signified by the catch of "153 fish" can be pictorially represented as an equilateral triangle like this:
The visual representations of the vesica piscis and equilateral triangle are both highly suggestive of the work of our TRIUNE God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit: THREE in One)—a.k.a. the Trinity. His fingerprints are ALL OVER the natural creation with its myriad geometrical designs AND the text of Scripture (such as John 21:11).
And if the 153 triangle number isn't enough, there is another triangle number at the end of the book of Acts that also represents the complete or full number of Gentiles being saved at the end of the Church Age. Luke records in Acts 27:37:
In all there were 276 of us on the ship.
Not one of whom was lost according to Acts 27:24, 34, and 44!
We have already gone into detail how this passage prefigures the end of the Church Age (see "Inauguration Inflection Point"); however, for our purposes here, just note that this specific number given in Acts is also TRIANGULAR. Whereas 153 is the 17th triangular number (signifying complete victory or fullness), 276 is the 23rd triangular number.*
*Honorable mention: The 15th triangular number and sum of the first eight triangular numbers, 120, signifies the full number of the Church at its inception and solidifies the Body of Christ as Paul's "Restrainer" in 1 Thess. 2:7. And that's not all folks! There is yet another triangular number in the Bible representing the fullness of something...albeit, something more sinister...
This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666 (Revelation 13:18, ESV).
Yes, and there it is. The 36th triangular number is also the number of the antichrist and the number of a man (falling short of perfection: 777). Pictorially, 666 can be represented as another equilateral triangle:
"The Fullness" and the End-Times
If you didn't get enough math in your daily Bible regimen, here's another deep dive for you that confirms the significance of our Church-related triangle numbers of 153 and 276. **Keep in mind that the Greek word for disciple is mathetes (ahhhhh, Math!)**
This next geometrical mind-explosion relates to Methusaleh (whose name means, "his death shall bring [the flood]"). Thus, Methusaleh lived and died as an "end-times" sign:
Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died (Genesis 5:27, ESV).
Recall that 153 is the 17th triangular number. Well, 969 is the 17th tetrahedral number—it is the sum of the first 17 triangular numbers!

Amazing!
So, the number representing the fullness of Gentiles in the Church Age (153) also connects to the Methusaleh number of 969. Both of these numbers in their respective biblical contexts deal with the end or conclusion of an era:
153 = End of the Church Age
969 = End of the Pre-Flood Age
Thus, we have further confirmation that the Church will be like Methusaleh and Enoch (Genesis 5:24, 27), one who is suddenly cut off from the land of the living, and yet one who is also a living Body taken away and snatched up to heaven before the "flood" of judgment begins. Think: both the dead and the living in Christ taken away before the Tribulation, as confirmed by the apostle Paul in 1 Thess. 4:16–17!
Hallelujah! The sovereignty of God at work in all things is praiseworthy!
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen (Romans 11:36, BSB).
There is “a hidden scriptural link to the “fulness of the gentiles” and the “partial blindness” being removed from Israel.”
ReplyDeleteJeff showed some of how # 3 & 17 connect with 153, but did you know that John 21:11 and Romans 11:25 are connected by the number 17? Here’s their connection. Romans 11:25’s 17th word is G4457 (porosis / blindness) and John 21:11’s 17th word is G5118 (tosoutos/ so). These two verses contain the 1st occurrence of each of these words in the Bible, and each have a single word value of 2190. I think that’s quite interesting in light of the context of those verses.
John 21:11 – Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
Romans 11:25 – For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
I randomly tried searching for single word(s) summing to 2190 and found ἐχθροὶ (echthroi), which has 6 occurrences and means hated, hostile, enemy. The second to last occurrence is Roman's 11:28, which I find interesting because as seen above in Romans 11:25, this verse is also showing how Israel was put aside, for the sake of the mystery, the forming of the body of Christ from both Jew and Gentile, which will last “until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in”, which indicates that God will not lift their blindness until after the rapture. This makes sense because the Tribulation is for the restoration of God’s chosen people, who will be priests during the millennial kingdom.
Romans 11:28 - As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
I think it’s also worth noting that there are 10 Bible verses with phrases that sum to a text value of 2190. Chronologically, the first verse with this sum ties into “as in the days of Noah.” Have you ever heard of the principle of first mention in the Bible?

… and that 1st 2190 valued verse is Genesis 7:18. This seems remarkable. The ark is going up as the judgement is raining down.
Genesis 7:18 – And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
The last verse with a total value of 2190 is Ezekiel 34:28.
Ezekiel 34:28 – And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
The dwelling in safety makes me think of the secret chambers mentioned in Isaiah 26:20. It also makes me think of the rooms in the Ark.
Isaiah 26:20-21 - Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
Another interesting verse summing to 2190 (out of the only 10 verses with this sum in the Bible) is Psalms 36:8.
Psalms 36:8 – They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
I think it’s more than safe to assume that the body of Christ will likewise be abundantly satisfied in their dwellings with the Lord, after being raptured and getting to drink from the river of life.
One last slightly different 2190 connection is that the 2190th verse in the Bible describes God calling Moses to come up to him on mount Sinai, where God would give Moses the law. I find this interesting in light of the connections between Mount Sinai, Pentecost and Solomon’s Temple that we covered earlier.
Exodus 24:12 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
As Jeff mentioned, there are some cool connection's between the #17 and the #153. Here's one of them.
ReplyDelete• Jesus 1st miracle transformed water into wine, where six water pots contained 2-3 ferkins each; avg 2.5 * 6 =15 ferkins; convert to gallons 15 * 10.2 = 153 gallons. If the pots were filled to the brim and you convert to the British equivalent of a gallon, one also gets 153.
• Jesus last miracle in John 21:10-11 involved 153 fish being caught in the net that was not broken, which had 7 disciples in the boat.
Since Nisan 17th was Jesus' resurrection day...
I also am fascinated with the statement, “A hypercube cut along 17 faces unfolds into a three-dimensional cross. There are exactly 17 two-dimensional space (plane symmetry) groups.” I think the below video shows that concept rather well. While speaking of 17, Jesus died on the day of Passover as the lambs were being slain and Jesus rose again victorious 3 days later, at the appointed time of First Fruits, on Nisan 17th. I thank you God for allowing Israel’s blindness, so that you could reveal an even greater plan.
That #17 also shows up on other big anniversary dates for Nisan.
• Nisan 17, Noah’s Ark safely rested on Mt. Ararat (Gen 8:4) Note that the seventh month was later designated as the first month at the time of the Exodus (Ex. 12:2).
• Nisan 17, Moses led the Israelites through the Parting of the Red Sea (Exo 3:18, 5:3)
• Nisan 17, Israel entered and ate the first fruit of the Promised Land (Joshua 5:10-12)
• Nisan 17, The cleansing of the Temple by Hezekiah (eight hundred years after entering the promised land. (2 Chronicles 29:1-28)
• Nisan 17, Queen Esther saved the Jews from Elimination (Esther 3:12, 5:1)
On a side note, this year Nisan 17th per Torah Calendar is an inclusive 6 years, 6 months, and 6 days after the "Rev. 12 Sign" on 9/23/2017.
Let’s consider the divinely inspired Word of God that is amazing beyond our comprehension. The result of 7 * 153 equals 1071; when assigning each letter its numeric value and getting the sum for each word, we see 1071 equaling the same Gematria value as “Joint-Heirs”, “White Robes”, “Sinless”, and phrases such as “the righteous shall inherit the land,” and “but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”

Romans 8:17 – “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
And also, White Robes.
Revelations 6:11 – “And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."
I think God ties related words together not only thematically, but also mathematically. As seen above in Romans 8:17, the joint-heirs with Christ will be glorified together with him. That sure sounds like the rapture to me. Also, the white robes seem to be intertwined with receiving eternal glorified bodies, after our earthly tabernacles are dissolved and that ties into the rapture because we’ll receive those bodies during the rapture.
2 Corinthians 5:1-2
5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
While on the topic of 153, here’s a bonus verse that has 1, 5:3 built right into it and seems linked to the kick off of the tribulation.
1 Thessalonians 5:3 - For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

DeleteI think your reference to the kick off of the tribulation, should be the midpoint of the Tribulation the Great.
After the Church is gone, the Peace Maker conquers with a peace plan and is Crowned with a crown of honor. Which brings Peace and Security to Israel and the middle east, for 3.5 years.
"then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child". That sudden jolt of travail that a woman experiences is just the wakeup call to what is about to happen.
And the way Paul use's the word "then" and also in 1 Thessalonians 4:017 denotes a time laps.

ReplyDeleteFun Fact: When the Fibonacci # of 377, which is the gematria value for the Hebrew word of SEVEN, is divided by Pi, the result will very closely approximate 120. Interestingly, the golden ratio of this rapture related number will split at approximately 46 & 74. This is very intriguing when combined with 46’s connection to the name of Levi and the name of God, YHVH.
74 has some compelling connections to Jesus using English Gematria.
Simple English Gematria words summing to 74: “Simple”, “English”, “Gematria”, “Jesus”, “Messiah”, “The King”, “His Bride”, “Fruit”, “Joshua”
Alternatively, 46 is the Gematria sum for the name of Levi. Here’s a quote by Stephen from the above linked forum thread.
“Levi has a value of 46, and is the third son of Israel. The ideas connoted in his name cohere around the notion of man and woman uniting (Genesis 29:34). This point is primary in the etymology of his name. Levi comes from the verb lavah, meaning 'to adhere to; to unite'. Human beings possess 46 chromosomes, the very value of the name Levi. The male and female contribute 23 chromosomes each to the young zygote. Thus, 46 is very much the number of biological union for humans. The parallels to the earlier scriptural, gematrical and etymological features of the name Levi are compelling.”

18 And he set threescore and ten thousand of them to be bearers of burdens, and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work.
There were 153,000 foreigners (gentiles) in Israel. 70,000 became general laborers, 80,000 were stone workers and 3,600 were overseers/management. There's probably some deeper meaning to this but I don't know what it is.
Wow, that does seem to tie in the idea of gentiles grafted in to Israel, somehow. Interesting!

No. I don't think the 1967 lines are viable especially in light of the Knesset vote on the subject of an imposed Palestinian state.

Given that the red heifers in Israel include at least one that qualifies for sacrifice and we are closer than ever to the third Temple becoming a reality. This Spring may be a very interesting season.
CONCERNING THE RED HEIFERS
ReplyDeleteI have found some very revealing facts concerning the red heifers. All five (5) cattle in Israel came from ranches in Texas that will fall under the shadow of the moon this April 8th. One of the two ranches is directly under the path of totality! It appears that four (4) of the animals are still viable as burnt offerings and that they may only be offered one at a time. The process of burning them with cedar will take many hours and days for the remains to cool to where ashes may be collected.
Pesach is still the day most discussed as when the first will be offered. It will be offered on the Mount of Olives; an event that cannot be hidden. We should know when it happens.
If this does occur on Pesach (Nisan 15) it will happen exactly 30 days before the full moon of May 23, 2024 (Omer Day 30) on the advent of the bright morning Bethlehem Star event. Also of interest is the coming solar eclipse. Counting 40 days from the eclipse (inclusive) brings us to Friday, May 17, 2024 (Iyyar 9) then an additional seven (7) days inclusive brings us to Iyyar 15 (May 23, 2024) and the day that the matzah was depleted in 1313 BC as the children of Israel approached the promised land.
Remember, Noah and his family were sealed in the Ark seven (7) days before the flood waters came. Remember too, Nineveh was warned by Jonah that in 40 days it would be overthrown. Evidence suggests that this warning may have been accompanied by a total solar eclipse.
Add to all of this that the ancient Jewish sage Rabbi Maimonides wrote that there were nine (9) red heifers from the time of Moses to 70 AD when the second Temple was destroyed. He believed that the tenth red heifer would see the return of the Messiah.
One of the four remaining heifers is certain to be that tenth heifer. Could it be coincidence that one of the calves sent to Israel, the one numbered eight (8) from one of the two Texas ranches where they came from is going to be the animal offered this Spring? (BTW, I don't believe in coincidence).
Somehow, "Hmmm..." seems lacking at the moment.

Personally, I admit, I'm excited about the Red Heifers. I know some don't think it's good since it's a sign of Israel's ongoing rejection of Jesus, and I get that, but I view it as the kind of event that's profoundly historic - something that all Heaven will watch as one step in the fulfillment of God's unbreakable Word concerning future events. It's like witnessing one of the miracles in the Bible.
DeleteI am curious if the forces of evil (Islamic or other) will attempt to stop the event or desecrate it somehow, and if that's why there is 4-5 cows currently viable - at least one buring will turn out to fail... bu5 if not, having the sacrifice on Passover also seems amazing (yet more testimony pointing to Jesus sacrifice as the only acceptable one).

ReplyDeleteIn Christ we are all washed by the blood. Gentile believers never needed the blood of animals to atone for sin. The Lamb accomplished that on the cross of Calvary. But the sacrifice of the first red heifer since the second Temple era is historic and Biblical to say the least.
The two witnesses will be here to see the building of the third Temple. That work cannot commence without the ashes of purification. May Hamas or any of the other Palestinian factions want to stand in the way of such a burnt offering? They may very well. Will they?

The Bible clearly tells us of the Temple to come and that can only come with the cleansing of the ashes of the heifer. Without that, the Jewish authorities can do nothing.

What struck me about those numbers is how Greek (gentiles) will mostly find Tribulation, while at the same time, Hebrew (Jews) will be finding Grace/compassion.

ReplyDeleteLooking at the Vesica Piscis illustration (above) and thinking about the fullness of the number of the church to come in; it got me thinking about the Bethlehem Star and if it may represent that fullness? The Head of the Church (Christ) joined to the body (Church)...and if so what is the day count from the bright morning, Bethlehem Star event on May 23 to Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) this year? The day count is 132 days or four months, nine days. Forty-nine hours is the length of the Feast of Trumpets as well as the number of days counted in the Omer as well as the number of years counted for a Jubilee.
Okay, the total number of days in this count is 132 days. So if it's 132 days from the Bethlehem Star to Yom Teruah then what day is 132 days *before* the Bethlehem Star? One hundred thirty-two days before May 23, 2024 is January 11, 2024.
Is there anything special that happened on that day? Well, January 11 was the new moon and beginning of the month of Shevat. That's the fifth month on the civil calendar and 11th month on the Essene (Ecclesiastic) calendar. (Anyone see a "11/11" here or even a "1/11) I sure do!

What is the sum of 132 days + 132 days? Or more precisely,
132-1/2 days + 132-1/2 days = 265 days
Two hundred and sixty-five is the precise perpendicular measurement to the 153 given in the Vesica Piscis (above).

The coming bright morning, Bethlehem Star event also falls on a full moon. Is it the Day we're waiting for? Time will tell. (Revelation 6:12) tells us to look for the full (whole) moon. Yes, I am among those who believe in the sixth seal rapture.
Imagine the scene given in Exodus of God descending on Mount Horeb in fire wrapped with smoke happening on a planetary scale?!! The Day of the LORD!! Sun darkened as sackcloth of black goats hair and the moon turned to blood. We've seen hints of this with the wildfires of these past many years. It's a real thing.
The mountains of the world (governments and powers) will tremble and flee in fear at His coming. The sound of the trumpet will shake the heavens and the powers of the heavens will be shaken! The worthless winter figs will be cast to earth (Satan and his angels) and we will go Home.
We're closer than ever to that Day of days!

Not related specifically to this thread, but highly interesting for all Watchers. Below is a link to a YouTube video from global political analyst Peter Zeihan, where he briefly discusses an important change in the relationship between Israel and Russia, and the possible ramifications. The two nations have maintained a "cool" approach to one another during both Soviet and Russian eras, but this could mean a huge shift with prophetic implications.
