BREAKING: Pope Francis Passes; Klaus Schwab Resigns

Easter Monday — Jorge Mario Bergoglio (a.k.a. Pope Francis) has passed away at the age of 88. His papacy was defined by a marked leftward shift in the Roman Catholic Church, the sidelining of traditional voices, and a concerning flirtation with universalism. A purported “Prophecy of the Popes”, which has made headlines worldwide for a number of years, suggests that Francis’ successor could be the last pope of the Roman Catholic Church — a supposed Petrus Romanus (“Peter the Roman”) who will steward the Church during a time of great tribulation, leading up to the physical destruction of the city of Rome. While the prophecy is intriguing, it should be received and interpreted with a massive grain of salt, given its non-biblical nature and possible pseudepigraphal composition (probably written by the Benedictine monk Arnold Wion, who attributed the prophecy to Saint Malachy).

Reports conflict regarding whether or not Francis was successful in building a theologically-liberal majority in the College of Cardinals, with charts showing either slight liberal or slight conservative control. These cardinals will soon vote for a new pope in secret.

It should be carefully noted that the Roman Catholic Church has unequivocally attempted to usurp Christ’s unique and special authority for the Pope himself:

The Roman Pontiff … as Vicar of Christ … has full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered.

— Catechism of the Catholic Church, §882

It should be further noted that with the Sixth Session of the Council of Trent (1547), the Roman Catholic Church has denied the Gospel of Salvation, bringing the organization into abject apostasy. While it is my belief that there may be many individual Catholics with a genuine saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the institution itself, with its numerous unbiblical dogmas, scriptural allegorizations, pretentious rituals, and false soteriology, is no longer representative of the Church that Christ built.

CANON IX. If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified; in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to co-operate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XI. If any one saith, that men are justified, either by the sole imputation of the justice of Christ, or by the sole remission of sins, to the exclusion of the grace and the charity which is poured forth in their hearts by the Holy Ghost, and is inherent in them; or even that the grace, whereby we are justified, is only the favour of God; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XII. If any one saith, that justifying faith is nothing else but confidence in the divine mercy which remits sins for Christ’s sake; or, that this confidence alone is that whereby we are justified; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XIV. If any one saith, that man is truly absolved from his sins and justified, because that he assuredly believed himself absolved and justified; or, that no one is truly justified but he who believes himself justified; and that, by this faith alone, absolution and justification are effected; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XVIII. If any one saith, that the commandments of God are, even for one that is justified and constituted in grace, impossible to keep; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XIX. If any one saith, that nothing besides faith is commanded in the Gospel; that other things are indifferent, neither commanded nor prohibited, but free; or, that the ten commandments nowise appertain to Christians; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XX. If any one saith, that the man who is justified and how perfect soever, is not bound to observe the commandments of God and of the Church, but only to believe; as if indeed the Gospel were a bare and absolute promise of eternal life, without the condition of observing the commandments ; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XXIV. If any one saith, that the justice received is not preserved and also increased before God through good works; but that the said works are merely the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause of the increase thereof; let him be anathema [CURSED].

CANON XXX. If any one saith, that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is remitted, and the debt of eternal punishment is blotted out in such wise, that there remains not any debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world, or in the next in Purgatory, before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened (to him); let him be anathema [CURSED].

To the contrary, Scripture teaches us with perfect clarity that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone:

But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.

Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
(Rm. 3:21–28, NLT)

Let us entrust the soul of Jorge Bergoglio to the mercy of God, hoping that he placed his faith firmly in Christ Jesus at the end. And let us, likewise, fervently pray that God will use the coming transition in the Roman Catholic Church to bring about an opening for the Gospel, as well as revival, unity, and truth in the worldwide and true Church, and greater preparation for what prophecy foretells is soon to come.

It was also reported this morning that Klaus Schwab, the head of the World Economic Forum, is stepping down from his role. He was the world’s foremost proponent of rapid globalization, and he heavily pushed Agenda 2030 and numerous top-down control mechanisms for the global population, including, most famously, “eat[ing] ze bugs.” At the ripe old age of 87, his views of the world, society, and religion will soon be tested by God Almighty when He stands before Him face to face.

So the leader of the largest Christian denomination in the world has just passed away, on Easter Monday, at the age of 88. And next month, God’s chosen nation of Israel turns 77. All of this as the final four scenario is still in play, and possible signs are unfolding all around us.
